So yesterday DH and I went with his sister and her husband to pick up their brand new KZ hybrid. Absolutely beautiful unit, wish we could get new. Well while we were waiting for them to be done, DH sees a travel trailer looks it up on their webpage and says wow that would be perfect. Well two weeks left for our trip I'm already scrambling to pinch and save every little I can and get what we need for the pop up, and we go and pick it up on Tuesday! I better get wife of the year for this one! We are going to use my dads truck since ours still needs a hitch and brake controller installed. We have talked about pushing our trip back to August, not sure if Disney will charge us or not. They didn't last year but we will wait and see. If we don't I will have to call and change sites, probably just upgrade to a full not a premium. Wish me luck! lol any tips on what we must have before we leave would be great. I have a sewer hose that we never used for our first trailer and we have the water house for the pop up.

Rland,

You can push/move/change/cancel a reservation up to 5 days before checkin with no penalty if it is a site-only reservation (not a package with tickets, dining, etc).

Just post when you are at the Fort - hopefully that's soon.

Bama Ed :dance3:

PS - I would vote for you for WotY. :hippie:

Thanks bama ed! It's is a package deal so I'm not sure what they will do. Last year when we had the issues with the airolite and towing we switched it from the campsite to a room with no charge.

We will kinda have our answer at midnight when hubby's bonus comes in. Fingers crossed!!

Congratulations and good luck! Very exciting! Which trailer did you get?

Well I called this morning and pushed vacation back until Aug now. I know it will be hot but DH bonus was not at all what we thought it was going to be and Uncle Sam took way more than what we thought! I feel a lot better about not going until August anyway that way I have more time. We are going to purchase a 2004 KZ Frontier. Its a really great unit. It has a bathroom and roof air. As much as what I really did love the pop up, I am a little excited about this new adventure. I will post pictures of it tomorrow! :cool1::cool1:

That sounds like a great unit! You'll have many happy memories with it. :cool1:

We just traded our pop up in for a new jayco 18d I can't wait til August for our first trip to the Fort with it

Sorry that you had to move the date due to financial reasons but probably the best. Wouldnt want to be that far from home in a new unit and start experiencing any type of problems.

Enjoy the new unit and your trip!

Congratulations on your RV trailer purchase. Know you will make many happy memories with it.

I'm sure it's best to wait a few months before towing it such a long distance. Taking a few short, close trips will help you get the hang of it, what you really need, etc.

Much pixiedust: to you!

Well I guess that's means you won't be saying" hi" to us when you head for the boat. Just uncovered the MH and dewinterized it yesterday. Taking it on a test weekend next Friday. Then hitting the road on wed. the 23rd, should be at the Fort by early pm on the 25th. Enjoy the new RV!

Honestly, It still might be a possibility, not sure yet. We are selling the pop up Wednesday so we might just use that money for vacation, not sure yet we will have to see.
