This morning I had to get a cavity taken care of. I was up all night pacing and in general being scared. I also haven't had a cavity in 15 years. I get to the dentist's office. I didn't even feel the needle to numb me. 20 minutes later and it's all done. Now how long until I can feel my mouth again?

Been in your shoes just about 2 weeks ago.... I think it took a day to get my mouth back to normal...and I had some extra sensitivity for about a week...but my cavity was on my back wisdom tooth...

Hope you feel better soon!

The dentist called it a "baby cavity." It's strange. I'm eating but I don't feel it. I taste the food but don't feel the food. The lips are all tingly. Scary thought is that I don't think that I would mind it if I got another cavity.

Well at least your not drooling. It seems like I've had that happen before! Glad it was easier than expected. :thumbsup2

Glad to hear you didn't find it too bad. The numbness will wear off in a couple of hours. I know exactly how you feel. I have really bad teeth (I think from bad dentists as a child) and now am paying for it. I am already nervous about an appointment a month from now. I have to have a cap removed, cavity cleaned and filled and a new cap made. Every time I go I need something MAJOR. And every time I go I am scared, so you are not alone. I wish mine was over like yours!!
