get my head around this new offer. I didn't see it until early this morning. Usually we travel in June and offers don't apply to us. We already have six nights booked at POFQ in late June. We bought tickets before the price increase (our particular tickets went up almost 10% because of the no expiration rate increase). Now this offer comes out.
The room for six nights works out to be $1,144 with a AAA discount. The rate I was quoted was $1,908 for seven nights at POFQ with park hopper tickets for seven days for two adults and two kids. That works out to roughly $110/ticket day with an additional night and day thrown in. I think the tickets we bought in August worked out to be about $175/ticket day.
I broached the subject with my wife this morning during the normal rush to get everyone out the door and she was not keen on the idea. I think the specter of having 12 days worth of tickets already on hand bothers her. It seems like a simple equation to me, but I need to figure out how to convince her.
