Hiya,

I'm leaving in around 18 days and were going for 3 weeks. 2.5 weeks doing all the parks and around 4 nights in Clearwater.

I plan on taking $2300 for just myself.

I'm starting to panic this may not be enough :confused3

We are staying offsite with a car. We plan on doing a kitty system split between 5 of us for fuel, breakfast items for the villa, tips and other stuff for the villa like snacky type stuff, bottles of water etc. I don't know how much this will come to in total.

I don't think I will buy many souvineers as I have all the teddies etc as I only went a couple of years ago, but for the life of me I can't remember how much I took or spent. The only place I see myself spending a lot of money is in Harry Potter World:woohoo:
I may buy the odd magnet etc but nothing major I think.

I have never been down to Clearwater before, so I don't know how prices compare down there.

Do you think I have enough dosh or should I try and scrape some more together?

Thank You :)

I think it depends on your situation (number of people, dining etc) and how much of a spendaholic you are :thumbsup2 How many people has the $2300 got to cover. If its just yourself, even paying for meals out of that etc, I should think you'd have plenty :upsidedow

Df and I are taking $1800 purely for spending. Tips etc are in a seperate pocket of money. We went in 2009 and had $900 to cover spending and tips so.. But, this year I've got my eye on some skechers, several chamilia charms and so on so I've added extra on top.

Unfortunately can't help re Clearwater as I've never been either :goodvibes

Try and split into sections - guestimate how much for each different thing you're going to pay out for and see how it looks after that :thumbsup2

We went to Clearwater in 2008. It was a split stay so 1 week in Orlando and 1 week in clearwater.

To be honest the only money that we spent that wasn't on food and tips was for the waterski ride that we went on. I think this cost about $80

We had our breakfast or lunch most days at Maggie Maes, which is on the boardwalk next to the Marriout Hotel. I would recommend that you give this place a go as they had a good choice of food and it was really tastey and good value.

We also went to a surf and turf all you can eat. I can't remember what it was called, but it was next to the night clubs on the other side of the roundabout to the Marriot and Maggie Maes.
Again this was really cheap and the sea food was so delicious.

We had a couple of meals in the hotel which were pricey but high quality.

I try and split it down as to what i have to spend each day. What ever i have left at the end of the day i rol forward to the next day. That way you won't get to the end of the holiday with not much left.

Gosh i do waffle!!! :rotfl: In a nutshell, i think you will be fine with that amount of money :)

Not taking into account any major purchases we might make, we tend to allocate $150 a day for two of us to cover food, drinks and incidentals. Some days we spend a lot less, others a lot more, but it seems to average out to around this amount over the course of any given trip. We're not ones to scrimp so at around $110 a day just for you, I'd say you've got plenty.

let's see....21 days....
so as already posted that's $109/day

fuel should only at the most be a few dollars a day for you (since you're splitting it between the 5 of you).....and food/snacks for the villa will probably be no more than $10/day for you ($50/day for the 5 of you).....

so that leaves you about $90/day to spend on food...

even if you have a character meal every day, you should be fine...

that said, i'd keep track of my spending each day so that you have an idea...
that way you'll know as the days pass, if you can be a bit more frivolous with your spending (like buying an extra wand at HP) :)

You have more than enough money, we usually take around £2500 between the 2 of us on a 3 and half wk hol and we do some serious shopping.
