I'm starting to get excited!!!! I HAVE PLANTS....

I was worried that because I had received my plants a few weeks before I was actually going to be able to put them in the ground of my new landscape area that they would not make it. But.....

Lo and behold - I HAVE LILIES!!!!! And a few other things. I'm going to try and take a pic as soon as the weather straightens up. I had been going out to the new area to look and see how the plants were almost on a daily basis. I hadn't been able to find time to look for a couple of days and I went over and looked on Friday and I was sooooooo excited!!!!! Some of my mini-roses are blooming with small tiny blooms and the lilies are starting to come up. Also some of the other plants now have some blooms on them ready to pop open!!!! I am so loving this!!!!!

The funny thing is - about 10 years ago I could kill everything by just touching it - now I'm growing plants that not many people have seen in our area that I found online!!!!! THIS IS SO COOL!

Way to go! I sometimes think the more you look and check on plants, the less they grow. It's almost as if they know you are anxiously waiting.

It's the "a watched pot never boils" thing, isn't it? I check mine everyday, looking for any teeny tiny sign of growth....lol.

Chris, I'm so pleased that your new gardens are flourishing! I really can feel your excitement in your post!

It is like a "watched pot never boils". I went out again the next night and I noticed like 5 more lilies popping up. I went out last night and found some more blooms. I was talking to my neighbor who was out putting new plants in her new area (she's fun to talk to about our plantings) and she said she comes over ever so often to check and see what I've got coming up and how things are going - she's a great neighbor!

I am finding this to be the most exciting thing about gardening - waiting in anxious anticipation for green to show and then buds to show and then buds to open.

Of course, I also find it exciting in buying or obtaining new plants. And I LOVE digging in the dirt.

Let's just face it! I find ALL aspects of gardening exciting because I have an otherwise boring life!! I even get a high when I am weeding!!

Tulirose, you forgot to mention how high you get when you're on the roof!

My flowers will never open if they don't get some sun soon, to coax them into it! Okay, enough with the depressing thoughts....sure they will!!!
