Just in case Pete thinks we aren't still out here wishing for an App for the droid... Here is a place we can beg for one!!

Please Please make a Droid app for us Pete! please:worship:

Another Droid User! I know it would be a lot of work, but those of us that don't have an iPhone need some love, too!! :worship::lovestruc

I'm not only a Droid user (LG eve), but I'm also a programmer. I haven't tried a phone app yet, but if you guys need any help, please let me know.

Pete has suggested that the E Ticket app would not be made for any platform other than the iPhone.

While he didnt say it would "nerver" happen....I wouldnt expect it any time soon.

Another Droid user here. I would love E-Ticket for my Droid!

Ditch the Droid and get an iPhone. :)

For most of us (well for me anyway) it's not just changing phones- it would mean changing carriers. My entire family is on Verizon and it would be a huge hassle for just me to switch to AT&T. Plus we're relatively happy with Verizon's service around my area. As much as I would love to get an iPhone- it's just not possible right now.

I understand. No hostilities intended. I was just attempting to perform the complex art of 'Kevin Teasing'. :thumbsup2

At the 59 minute and 4 second mark in the December 16, 2009 podcast, Pete says that he is planning an Android version of E-Ticket.

Woohoo!!!! Well, erm...I still don't have a Droid (STILL fighting the guy at work about it, because it "costs more" than the others...but not according to Verizon), but I WILL have one soon...

The advantage of an Android version is that it can work on more phones on more carriers than an iPhone app.

The problem I can foresee however is in dealing with the variable screen resolutions, etc.

Another Droid user here as well.

I remember Pete saying that during the podcast taping. So maybe there's hope yet!

Please, Pete!!! :worship:

I think it will eventually happen. From a business point of view it makes sense. Long term I think that the Android platform and the iPhone platform will be the 2 biggest non-corporate players in the mobile web space.

I still stand by my assertion that eventually most apps will be browser based and either entirely or mostly OS agnostic. We just need mobile browsers to get a bit better and HTML 5 to get adopted :thumbsup2

Android e-ticket = Boss!

Plus, when I got the Droid I signed away 2 more years of my life to Verizon. The rumor (well, as of last week) is that Apple will be introducing a 4G iphone and pairing with Verizon by the end of the year when their contract is up with AT&T.

I'd love to have e-ticket on my Droid, so sign me up.:goodvibes

While LTE phones will probably start appearing late this year I would think from a business point of view Apple would first introduce a 3G only phone and then make the LTE capable phone part of their upgrade path. Love them or hate them Apple knows how to build obsolescence into their devices with the best of them and releasing a phone just before a new technology window opens up is a sure fire way to sell a lot of second phones to users (especially high data users) in a shorter window then the 2 year contract.

I think the android APP would really sell well Pete!
