I'm sitting here looking at pics from past years with my Grace in the bluebonnets. OMgosh, with all the rain we've gotten, they should be amazing this year.
I'd love to hear from any Texans out there what you all love about the state. For me, I just love the whole state. The people are friendly, the scenery is gorgeous and i love how dramatic the weather can be. I love that it can be 60 degrees and then you can see a cold front moving in that drops it by 30 degrees.
I love the diversity of the state. I love how there are so many different kinds of people here. I love that our family can afford to live here comfortably, in our own home, with a good qualtiy of life. i also love the relationship Texas has with the Military community. We've been stationed here four times and have always felt welcome and a part of the community. A pretty big deal when you're moving around constantly. It just seems natural for our famliy to settle here.

) was that the summer was nicer than ours in Michigan because of the lack of humidity (we visited relatives in the Brady, Breckenridge, Gorman, Big Spring and El Paso areas). We were amazed at the drier heat. And I remember the horned toads! Loved them!! I remember going to Big Bend National Park and that was very pretty also. And I loved the southern hospitality and charm and accents!!
