I'm ssooo sad.............

We try to go to Disney every other year and the trip we had planned for June is being called off!!

Though the reasons are genuine (planning on buying a new house in the next year and dh can't leave his business for any length of time right now) I am still sad!! I haven't broke the news to the boys yet, dreading that! Dh said we would go again next year!!

Sorry for the whining...............I am sure there of those of you that feel my pain

I feel your pain! We have AP vouchers that we cant use until next Christmas! Hang in there. You will get back there and it isn't going anywhere. Good Luck telling your boys!

Yep -- I do feel your pain. We really, really wanted to go at Christmas '02 but couldn't. We came very close to just doing it, but realized we didn't have any business trying to go.

We were able to go last month after two years, and it was wonderful! I know once you do get back, it will be all the more special to you.

Sorry to hear you have to cancell your trip
When we were getting ready to buy our house we were going to cancell our planned trip to Disney. I wasn't about to let that happen! What I did was rented points for a villa at BW and that saved me a ton of money. Also I shortened the trip to 6 days. We were able to go and boy did we need it. Selling our house was so stressful, then finding one, plus DS had been through a really tough time The trip was just what we needed. The bright side was everything worked out and we made a ton of money on the sale of our house so it was like paying ourselves back for the trip!

You could just engross yourself with the whole house thing and sooner than you know it you will be in your new home planning your WDW vacation!

I don't know where you're located but I find comfort in spending long weekends in San Antonio. Maybe a trip to Sea World or Schlitterbahn if you can swing it would help?

I know how it is. We bought a house early last year and only went to WDW later because most of it was already paid for plus our closing costs were real low thanks to the seller and the VA. I still had to count our pennies a lot though.
