So my 14 Y.O. got her tonsils/adenoids out yesterday. She also had a nasal/sinus procedure so she has packing in her nose till later today. Talking is very difficult, and speaking loudly enough to hear her is impossible.
She is cracking us up. She has a little bell, but rather than ringing it to get our attention, she just calls us from her cell phone. She was just texting us but found that we did not always see the text or hear the phone beeping
Instead of writing on paper what she needs and wants--she found a narrator program on her laptop, and types in what she wants and lets the computer talk for her. She sounds like Stephen Hawking, but it works, and BTW--hysterical
And to think...I thought I was living large when my Grandmother used to make a bed on the couch, and gave me a bell.

I don't know that I would have even thought to find a computer program to do the talking for me.
