I tried to go without it but I needed to do it..... I turned on the HEATER!!!! It was freezing in my house... it is 57 degrees outside and I was freezing.... I asked DBF if I could turn it on to get the chill out of my bones.... so it is on....

We did too last night and it seemed so LOUD!!!! (living in Orlando).

57 degrees! That would be a heat wave. We have the heat on here but it is around 30 degrees for a high temp. Tomorrow it might be close to zero with the wind chill.

I'm not trying to make fun of you though. For people native to Florida that temperature is getting chilly. I'm just not ready for winter yet.

I know we sound so whiney when alot of you are dealing with zero temps and snow BUT.....although 57 sounds warm it is not down here, the problem being that the homes are built to stay cool, most of us have tile floors then add into that mix how damp it is in this state 57 feels like 20! Of course we still don't have to shovel snow, but there are nights here where I have actually worn my ski jacket! So you can call us wimps and maybe we are but this past week has been downright cold! and I am thankful for my electric blanket!

I have actually been trying to leave my house at 60 all the time. I am a SAHM so we are home during the day. I have to admit I cheated today and turned it up to 67. I was freezing. Of course it was 27 with a 19 wind chill and 2 inches of snow falling. But I felt bad doing it!

My heat is set to come on if it gets below 66 in the house. I think it's been on once or twice. I enjoy the electric bill without it on, so I say wear a sweater or throw on a blanket because I want a cheaper bill!

I try to go all year without using the heat. We are in an unusual cold spell, and it is in the 30s right now, the tiny space heater is all I have on. I keep it on while reading and Dising but turn it off when we go to bed - the room usually stays in the high 60s most of the night.

What can I say, I'm cheap.

I have sucked it up, and held back with the heat...after the rough summer and super high electric bills, one less thing running is so much better. My house this morning was 67 inside... I was under a pile of blankets, with some pug thrown in for extra heat!

I know. I just got back from Homestead, where I was wearing a jacket and still cold. But I dealt with it.

our last trip to WDW, in December, it was hot enough for shorts all day and still warm enough at night that shorts were not too cold.
but the last day it dropped to a high of 40 degrees!!! Good thing it was only a travel day.

it is 26 degrees now, here in chicago.
