I'm so tired of death.....

For the 4th time in 11 months we have to head back home (8 hr drive one way) for another funeral. 3 from Dh side of the family and 1 from mine. I have never been to so many funerals esp. in this time frame. Our family has been blessed with few health issues but I guess age starts playing a factor.

yes - death is part to take.

but it also makes you appreciate your life and your family!!!! It can bring a family closer together!

because you never know what tomorrowland might bring.

Death is something always unexpected.
I had an uncle pass away this week of cancer and another uncle that also has cancer that is not doing well, so luck is not on our families side either.

like OP said, it sure makes you hold your dear ones nearer when these things happen. It's supposed to make us stronger, but it's sure not an easy thing to deal with. Prayers & comfort to you & yours~

i think one of my toughest times was within 4 weeks, we had 5 people close to us die. all individual things, not one big accident.
My good friends, Gilberte & Harry, hubby & DW, died of cancer, within 2 wks of one another-
my godchild (21) passed--auto accident--no cause ever found
DH's cousin(38) went of leukemia, 6 wks from diagnosis
a good friend's son (28) passed of a sudden & totally unexpected heart attack
I now tell people that I love them or enjoy them much more than I used to. I call old friends & relatives to check in more frequently.

I know what you mean. I end every phone call with a "I love you" because you never know if it will be your last time telling someone that.
