I'm so thankful....but so very sad

:( OMG! Thank goodness no one was hurt! My heart goes out to you, your brother and mother. Give them an extra {HUG} today.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I am so glad that no one got hurt. {{{HUGS}}}

It's a horrible feeling, I know. We too had a fire years ago and there was so much lost, and things that you could not replace. You have every right to have these mixed emotions. But also, thank GOD everyone is safe.

How very sad, Candykisses. Thankfully no one was injured, but the loss of your physical things can be painful for sure. Your bother's words, 'She's my mother', certainly says a lot in only three words, doesn't it? {{Hugs} and my best wishes for the rebuilding, Candykisses.

Dan

I am so sorry. {{{{{HUGS }}}}. I know in time that you will recover from this loss. Bless you and your family.

I'm so sorry. I have never lost my home to fire, so I can only imagine how painful it would be. Especially this close to the holidays. I am glad that your family made it out okay.

I know right now, you feel like all your memories were taken away. At least they live on in all of you. You have the memories in you and they will be with you forever. HUGS to you all. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry this happened to your family. I am glad to know that everyone is okay though and what your borther said speaks volumes. I do wish you all the best {{hugs}}

Oh my gosh, that is so sad. I am so happy everyone is safe. My heart goes out to all of you, that is just heartbreaking news. Your brother is a wonderful, loving son. Take care candykisses. {{{{{Hugs}}}}} to all of you, and a special one to Brad. {{{{Hug}}}}

I am sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

So very sorry to hear of your loss. We lost everything, too, years ago in a fire. DH just barely got out. I understand your feelings of loss and I want you to know that it is OK!!!! Allow yourself to rejoice in finding little things, even if they are damaged.

Some practical advice: get a big notebook and write down everything. Kind gestures, gifts, thing to remember, things not to forget to do, borrowed items, addresses..... Very soon it will all start to overwhelm you and you will forget something that you want to remember forever. I still have my notebook and I still can't belive the kind gestures and gifts. I will never forget my friends bringing their lawn furniture into our quickly rented apartment in the middle of a snow storm (in December). The love and caring made those chairs the most comfortable ones we have ever used!

But most of all, keep in touch with us and know that we care.

I am so sorry to hear this, I'm just glad nobody was hurt.

My college roomates house burned down on Christmas Eve a few years ago, and she also kept a record book like Claudia. It helps to remember everything you've borrowed, and everything you need to do because chances are at a time like this you aren't thinking clearly. Pleaes give my best to your family.
