Because of working hard, saving, using coupons, etc., my dh and I were able to do something yesterday I didn't think would be possible - we paid cash for a motor vehicle and it was a minivan!
I convinced him we could get a great one for used - we got a 2007 fully loaded Dodge Grand Caravan with ony 43,000 miles on it. I negotiated a great price for it and a great price for our 100,000 + mile 2004 Toyota Scion and was able to pay the remainder amount in cash! No interest or finance charges for us. It makes me really happy!
Now it's time to build the savings back up by pretending we have that car payment!

That is absolutely something to be proud of!! Congratulations! I have promised myself that I will never have a car payment again, so I look forward to buying my next new-to-me car with cash.
