I'm so old. Did we really leave the house at 9pm?

normally that is almost bedtime. But we have friday off, and blues traveler was playing at our local fest. We only caught the last few songs. But ARRA on the smaller miller stage played from 9:15 til 11:30! My ears are still ringing a little! and we were not right up front.

the tent was too packed to get into. Upper 60's temps and no mosquitoes for some reason helped make it a great time.

we had a group of five that went, which grew to about ten as the kids showed up.

We had a great time listening to all the covers.

LOL. I remember way back when when, when I moved back home after college, my dad would ask me, "why are you leaving the house at 9/10 PM? where are you going that you can't go in the daytime?".......now I'm usually sacked out by then and if not, I'm regretting it the next day

I can't imagine how I ever did that and still got to work by 7:30am, back in the old days....

ah, yes.

DS & DDIL play softball, and if they have the late game, it starts at 8:50. It's not so bad in the summer, but the fall and spring - not so easy to go watch them!

And what about picking up your kid after work at 10:30 p.m. It has to be done but it's at a time when I'm usually bedding down. If he wants to work till midnight and beyond, he can wait till he gets a driver's license. It would be too disruptive to me.

When my DDs were in college they'd sometimes leave for the evening around 10:30PM. Now that they have graduated, married, and working, they seem to be in bed around that time.

It's always seemed to me that there really isn't much you can do after midnight that you can't do at 8PM. Why wait so late to start?
