I must be the biggest dope on the face of the Earth.

I don't know how or what I did to do this, but somehow I accidentally updated my server and it DIDN'T keep any of my saved bookmarks and saved email!!!:(

I am so frustrated!! I've been mad at myself for almost 2 hours now and I can't let it go.

I'm such a bone head!!!!!!!!!

Oh, everyone makes mistakes like that! I lost my original college program journals because I waited too long to save them.

You'll be able to find your bookmarks again. :) Do a search for them on google.com.

Bunchkin, I'm sorry that happened to you. I know from experience how bad that feels. I had some emails in my favorites that were so very precious to me and I upgraded my account and didn't realize I had to save them or they would be lost. Let me tell you, I cried for a week. {{{hugs}}} :(

Bunchkin... all may not be lost. What operating system are you running? win xp home or pro? Windows 98 or ME? I may be able to help you recover them. You didn't reformat your hard drive right?

Darien-
Don't know if you can help me. I'm on a IBook 9.0. No Widows here!! :)
Actually I didn't mean to update my Netscape, it happened by accident. And it *should* have carried over all my bookmarks and email but it didn't.
So I'm really frustrated because I have no clue what happened. :(
I had things saved in my email I've had for years!!!!!! :( :(

Bunchkin,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Yes, you are s.o.l. I'm afraid, unless there is a Mac person out there in DIS land that can help out. Perhaps there is the equivilent to backup files in the macintosh world that pc's have hidden away in the nooks and crannies of the operating system. If you restored your old system would it bring back your data?

Bunchkin,

I can't help, sorry, but maybe if you post on the tech board? I *think* one of our fabulous techie gurus is a Mac user.

Worth a shot, yes?

Debbie
