I have finally purchased our tickets on American Airlines for our 5/28/05--6/4/05 trip. The total was 843.60 for 4. It's nonstop flights from DFW to MCO. I just couldn't hold out anymore for fear that the prices may increase. I used a relative's credit card(who is not going on the trip)with their permission of course. We're just giving him the cash. I rcvd my confirmation via email. Will we have any problems at the airports considering the credit card does not belong to us? :teleport:

Congratulations!! I know most people wait, but DFW is a very different market and from my experience, the lower the fare from DFW the more inconveniencing the flight itinerary.

I think that is a very decent fare and I now you can move on to the fun stuff!

There is another post on this board about using another persons CC. I would call American to make sure everything is ok. They may want to see the card for security purposes.

I don't think you will have any problem. I have never been asked for my CC (and in the past I had a job where tickets were purchased on a company cc so I wouldn't have had it anyway!)

I believe that the airlines can require you to present the card used to purchase the tickets, but I've never had them ask and I fly fairly often.
