DH quit his job today! He has been absolutely miserable for months now. He has 2 solid job offers and a possible 3rd one so he had had enough today and gave them notice. We were a little nervous quitting because we really needed his current salary through the end of the month- both of the job offers are a little less than what he has now. His boss was very apologetic (because the job was not what it was supposed to be and he was treated horribly by someone else) and agreed to pay him until the end of the month. Normally when someone give their 2 week notice they pretty much let them go- so he basically has 3 weeks paid vacation! Of course I think he will only take 1 week off and start his new job next week. Sorry for the rambling- I am so excited. So much stress is GONE!

Good for your DH and for you. Dealing with job stress is no fun. :headache:

Congratulations! I hope the new job is a much happier experience:).

Good for DH!!! So that is like bonus to get paid til the end of the month!! Yeah!!!

DH didn't want to work today either..mainly because he was off 3 days..and the idiots were all on call..and instead of calling w/ the issues so they could be handled over the weekend he came in to work to post-it notes on his computer.. Needless to say, his meeting w/ his boss was not so nice and some of the fools got written up for the notes on his desk.. (one even said he spent too much time w/ family events!)... That one I think is the one that got HR because they are very PRO-family! (especially being salary..most people don't realize the additional hours put in that they don't get paid for!) I asked to have the number to the individual that wrote that note.. I had a few choice words..but DH said the damage I'd do would make them cry! Uh, your point would be???

Thank you everyone! It is very strange to have him home! Nancy, I know what you mean, I have wanted to give the not-so-nice person a piece of my mind for awhile now. DH won't let me- it scares him! :lmao: ;)

:cheer2: good for your dh ashley!!!!:cheer2:
you must be so thrilled!!!

Isn't it funny... We have nothing to lose (ourselves) so we are willing to make the sacrifice..but the poor guys are holding down the job and have to play politically correct!!! I'm so glad your DH finally gave his notice.. DH won't because he likes the job.. it's just some of the fools they bring in... He can usually tell just about how long they last and the last time he has been with in weeks on 2 individuals... he even marks his calendar! LOL

Congratulations- my DH has 7 more days of work at his current job and then he is fionished. He likes the people he works with but the job can be frusterating too. Congratulations. I hope everything works out as you wish.

Congrats on the new job propects. I just left my job a week ago Friday. I gave notice in February and they just let me go. I started last week on my new job and I can't describe how great it feels not to be stressed 24/7. I hope things work out in his new job. It is making a large difference in my household. My DD9 tells everybody that "my mom started a new job and we love it"
Good luck.
