I get to see my friend Greg on friday, after three years!
He was part of my closest circle of friends freshman year of college, but after a lot of tough stuff (being bipolar, not taking his meds and getting really out of control, etc), he ended up going home in the middle of his second semester. Because of how dependent he'd been on the three of us girls, we all had to cut off ties over the next year, because it was hurting us emotionally and academically to keep trying to take care of him. Eventually we sort of lost touch.
Anyway, on Friday he's coming into town to see a concert, and a couple of us are going to get together just for the night, and catch up. I'm really excited, because although I know that the drifting apart was very healthy for everyone involved, I've really missed him! I can't wait till friday!
