I'm getting my cruise magnets through www.magnetsonthecheap.com -- I'm getting them printed as 12x24 car door magnets and then I'll cut around the edges of the designs. I thought you guys might want to see how that works. I put them on a 12x24 sheet in photo editing software, saved as .jpg and uploaded. Super simple! Here are my .jpgs! Thanks to Barb and the other Dis-igners that made designs for me!

That's cool! I didn't know you could do something like that!

Where do you get them printed or does the company print for you? I am new to personalized magnets.
* edited* to say I clicked on your link so now I see that the company does for you.

Yep! It works GREAT! I have done it for two cruises before, too. I have used Vistaprint in the past, but I'm trying this site this time. Hopefully they come out just as nice!

Yep, they print them, then I cut them apart with scissors just as if they were on paper. They look gorgeous.

Very nice. Quick question though. Each one of those is on a 12" x 24" sheet for a total of 4 sheets for a total of about $110?

What did they charge you for shipping?

free

They have a BOGO free deal, so I paid $59.96 for all four sheets with free shipping. I saved a lot of time by doing it this way, so it was totally worth it to me.

I agree. 4 of those for $60 is definitely worth it in my opinion. It would cost close to that buying it and DIY.

I would think buying the sheets of magnetic paper then printing your designs yourself would be less expensive?

I'm not sure and I keep hearing that those magnetic sheets don't stick well. These stick great! And, if you factor in the cost of printer ink and my time, ordering online is the way to go for me.

I'm also making some paper piecing magnets, too. I just can't have enough door magnets!

I never had a problem with them sticking.....

The doors on concierge level on Fantasy and Dream are not magnetic so we just bring masking tape and mount printed pics our twins want on the door and tape them up! No where near $100 & all the fun!

Um.... you're not supposed to use any adhesives on the door.

And you can use magnets on the concierge doors, you just need stronger ones than the typical fridge type (brown rubber stuff). I know DCL says they are wooden doors, but they are regular ship's doors (metal) with wood veneer on them.

I only spent $60 and I saved way more than that by not going concierge! LOL So, its all good!
