I just got off the phone a few minutes ago with Disney Dining and I booked our first ADR for Sept.! I was able to get a party of 3 at LTT for 5:05 on Sept. 14th. Also available were 5:15 and 5:25. Even if we don't do MNSSHP this year, I figured we can still eat at LTT and see the characters in costume. And, if we do MNSSHP, we'll have plenty of time to eat. Last year we had 5:50 (or 5:55) ADR and we finished just at 7 p.m as they were making the announcement that MK was closing to all guests that didn't have MNSSHP tickets.
So, this year we'll have a little more time, after dining, before the official start.I'm sharing it here since I know that many of you will understand how exciting it was! I haven't even told my family-and probably won't for a few more months-after all ADRs are made!
(Is it strange that my heart was beating fast after I got off the phone? 
)I've been meaning to call for the last few weeks, but kept putting it off.
I realized today that if Disney does offer free DDP (fingers crossed here) then that announcement will probably come soon. Once it's announced I figured it'll get harder to book it. So book it I did, and now I can relax! 
Well, maybe relax isn't exactly the work for it. I still have to reserve our room (POP), keep checking airfares until they get to a $ I want to pay, book flight, rebook (change) room dates if needed, reserve car, and then book final ADRs. Oh, and keep handling the fridge swap I started last Sept. Okay, so I still have alot to do, but I can cross one thing off my list! 
I too, just got off the phone with Disney Dining and made ADR's for 9/14 and 9/15. I know for sure we're going that weekend, but haven't decided if our arrival date would be better on 9/12 or 9/13 and our arrival date determines our departure date. The CM kept trying to get me to make more ADR's but I couldn't commit! :lol:
) book airfare, and plan the rest of our interary. We're taking DME so no rental car for us.....
