I just watched "Snowed In At The House of the Mouse", the Disney Christmas show with all the characters in it.

Could somebody explain to me why the Beast is still a beast?? Didn't he turn back into a prince??

Also, could somebody explain why this bothers me??

Too many logical thoughts can hurt your brain just go with the magic.:p

I'm thinking it's for the same reason that this bugs me. :p

(Logically though, I'd say that they're just capturing a moment of time from the middle of the movie and that it really isn't a time continuation from the end. ;) )

Time for a STUDY BREAK!!

Feel free JTB! Lynne thats a good thought. Maybe just a little to much thought but a good one nonetheless.

I was wondering the same thing about BATB Christmas movie. At what point before becoming a Prince did we all miss Christmas in the original movie??

Guess I'll have to watch it to see if they explain it. I doubt it. :(

Along the same lines as Kejoda's quote.

I have a dear dear friend who always says to me in situations like this:

"There you go again, clouding the issue with reason and logic"

You know, I thought of that - that it could be taking place BEFORE the end of the movie when he turns into a prince. I don't buy it, though. They are all lovey and everything so it definately seems like it has to be after the end of the first movie. . . .

I know, I know . . . I really need a life.

I really wish he was the prince instead of the Beast...that whole part of the movie is weird to me any way...we watched it on DVD last night..love the movie but do not like the whole beast/princess love thing...so happy when he became a REAL MAN!!!!!:D

CONFESSION: I've never seen Beauty and the Beast...can you believe it???

This is something that has always bothered me too. Shouldn't the Beast be a prince now???
What about Ariel? Where are her legs? In Ariel's Grotto in Fantasyland she still has fins. ;)

I like the Beast as his Beastly self. The prince does nothing for me.

Holy crap, bean...how the heck did you find this thread, it's FOUR years old!!!! Or did it get bumped by the DIS board phantom?

Nice seeing Katholyns posts though.

little kids don't use much logic. The under five crowd might be confused about who the guy was if he was the prince and not the beast I know DD would fall asleep or lose interest in the movie before the changing moment.

Ariel simple king titian changed her back to a mermai because prince Eric mad him angry that day. He change her back and forth when ever he wants to he's the king!

Are you talking about Beauty and the Beast The Enchanted Christmas? That takes place during the middle of the original movie while Belle is still a prisoner...so the Beast was still under the Enchantress' spell as was the rest of the characters. If you notice in the original movie, the seasons are changing from Fall to Spring. BATB:EC takes place during that Winter. Christmas wasn't shown in the first movie.

P.S. I can't believe I just replied to a 4 year old thread!!!
P.P.S. I prefer the Beast to the Prince too!

Amen. I like the Beast so much better! I always feel sorry for Belle, who is so strong, getting stuck with that wussy prince!
