I'm Ordering a big BLT for Thanksgiving 2010 NEW 12/3 started TR! see link

Love the kids' Top Fives! I think Nathan should definitely do a dining report from a kid's perspective! How cool and different would that be???

Love the video, too! Connor's ears perked up as soon as I start playing it -- he came over to watch and gave it his seal of approval! Of course, we are always suckers for the ol' Death by Monkeys! :lmao:

Wow great PTR Julie!! :cool1: And I've only read the first page so far! :faint:

Jumping on-board and looking forward to counting down to November with you!

Awesome video!!! I watched it twice :woohoo:

If Nathan does a dining review he should be prepared to take food pictures! DISers love looking a food!!!

Camping this weekend, but lots of good stuff to comment on when I get back!

Hope you are having a great time and good weather too....Matt is still unpacking and put away his and Nathan's camping gear...

I didn't see that you had posted an update til just now. (Amy is camping this weekend)

it's okay...I was just feeling loney :charac2:

When we went to FW to see the horses we just showed up one morning and there were a few in the barn and there is the little "museum" part too. I would suggest that you take the boat to FW instead of a bus because the boat dock is closer to the non-horseback riding stable (just a short walk). Ohterwise you have to transfer from resort bus to internal bus.....then walk. I think I have pictures and such in my TR from 2008 (Day 1 or 2)

Yes I so remember that I really I believe your TR is one of the reasons she wants to see this stuff...I am hoping before HDDR will be an OK time to see them :confused3

and yes I plan to do a boat transfer...do you think we can go right from CR or would we need to walk up to MK first?

The wake up Tink thing is different....don't know the details but a CM would be able to help her out I'm sure because the sparkle lights were still there in Oct 2009.

:tinker: we will and report...

I picked my country for Kim Possible....just ask the CM before they "program" the phone-thingy

I will make sure we do that!

And yes the spiel on the TTA has been changed....to what exactly I don't know.

looking forward to it...but I kind of liked the corney space galatic banter...

thanks...it was fun to do...long but fun..it was all Nathan's idea

A dining review from a kid's perspective is a great idea!

I made him some critic cards on the computer now just need to print and decided how we will carry them in the parks...

Wow great PTR Julie!! :cool1: And I've only read the first page so far! :faint:

:welcome: so glad you came by...it has been fun hanging out on the Nov threads too... as you tell I am a bit :rolleyes1 fanatic

Jumping on-board and looking forward to counting down to November with you!

You bet...you'll just get to Disney before me...

I'm joining in! Will have to go back later and read everything. :goodvibes

Hi jillyb...glad you came to see what was happening w/ me too...

Awesome video!!! I watched it twice :woohoo:

thanks...I realized we spelled Monkeys wrong in the credits...you can see where my kids get their great spelling skills from  for under a minute of video it took all day...my favorite part those has to be Naomi-Ruth

If Nathan does a dining review he should be prepared to take food pictures! DISers love looking a food!!!

Oh yes....let's hope I remember too! :thumbsup2

Just catching up on everything......summer has just been crazy around here - sorry to miss your surveys.

I think a kid's perspective food review would be a great idea! Looking forward to reading what he thinks.

Loved the video, Daniel was playing TS3 for PS3 and perked up immediately and said "hey, that sounds like TS3". I told him it was your homemade video, he said "cool".

You are so much more organized than I am, I'm feeling very far behind. ;) This week is a tiny bit more quiet so maybe I'll be able to tackle some touring ideas. Thinking I'm going to follow your lead and have everyone give me their top 5 for each park.

Hi I was wondering how you were...we must try and get together after the 4th...:thumbsup2

that is so funny how Daniel and CP's Connor instantly perked up by the video sound...:rotfl: Nathan is all ready to make another one....w/ Mr. Potato as One eyed Bart

are you still driving or any other deals for air....our one flight down went up 40 bucks...:headache: glad we bought when we did...

I have tweaked a few of our plans the other day w/ Matt nothing major...will tell later...trying to get the next 3 lists up....share some of your family's too if you'd like here (I know we'll chat ;))

J~

Oh my goodness....things are so crazy here! The boys just finished up school last week and now we are getting ready to head out on our week-long camping trip. Well, really I'M getting ready! :rolleyes1

LOVE the kids' top 5 lists. Funny that mini-golf made the list so many times!

I love the idea of Nathan doing a dining review! That would be a great learning experience for him and I'd love to see dining from a kid's perspective! Good for him! :thumbsup2

Oh, and I agree with your point about adding too many extras. They add up so quick especially with a large family!

The pic of Rachel on the TTA is adorable! :cutie:

First of all... Love the video!! :thumbsup2 Very cute & creative! Looks like it was a fun family activity. :goodvibes

As far as your top 5s... sounds to me like you need to go mini-golfing! :rolleyes1 Other than that, I think I'd try to stick with the "free" stuff. Would everyone want to do the DTD balloon?? Is that something you or Matt could do with just Rebekah? Maybe you could incorporate one special thing for each of Rebekah & Nathan since you'll be doing special birthday stuff for the little girls?? :confused3 Or would that get too complicated?

I LOVE the idea of Nathan's food report. I think it would be so much fun to read & he would have a lot of fun doing it. :thumbsup2

I can't wait to read the rest of your top 5s. popcorn::

All caught up! Whew! I feel like a slacker compared to your planning Divaness! :worship::worship::worship:

That video was hilarious!! Loved it! Hannah caught the end of it so I had to play it again. She gives it a :thumbsup2

Catching up...

Sounds like you had a great time in Atlanta. :goodvibes Busy end of the school year! Good for you for standing up for your DS!! Some people are so rude, it just amazes me. :confused2:

I like all your plans on your to-do list! I need to get cracking on mine.

LOVE  the BLT Magic!! Yay for choosing one thing that you do not want to miss! :yay: I'm glad I got you thinking. ;)

:dizzy: holy smokes, that is expensive airfare! I priced out for us to fly and were topping out at around $1000 before luggage fees. I thought that was bad! It sealed our plans on driving down. I am, oddly, looking forward to it though. I am looking at it as part of the adventure!!

Love the scrapbook stuff you posted!! So talented :goodvibes

I am not sure on Tink--I know the shop got converted for the BBB picture location but other than that, I am not sure where she is at anymore. Love all the top 5s! I think it is really cute Nathan wants to do a dining review! Good for him! :thumbsup2

wow your summer is just beginning I guess...we are into week 4 of being off

LOVE the kids' top 5 lists. Funny that mini-golf made the list so many times!

Yes being something we have yet to do it keeps coming up...

I love the idea of Nathan doing a dining review! That would be a great learning experience for him and I'd love to see dining from a kid's perspective! Good for him! :thumbsup2

I agree....it will be fun for us to do together then too when he get's home as I'll do the after work w/ posting pic's and typing up his thoughts...

Oh, and I agree with your point about adding too many extras. They add up so quick especially with a large family!

Yes when I added up potential golf, water craft rental (even w/ DVC discount) and a couple passenger tickets for the balloon lift it was almost $120

The pic of Rachel on the TTA is adorable! :cutie:

I know...she sort of looks like Naomi-Ruth now

First of all... Love the video!! :thumbsup2 Very cute & creative! Looks like it was a fun family activity. :goodvibes

based on budget left for what $ we have to have to avoid paying for anything on credit...the mini golf is pretty unlikly at this point...but we'll see. I do agree something special for the older two would be ideal...as of right now each child including the twins is getting a Disney makeover either BBB or PL so that is something special IMO...plus Nathan won't have to share w/ any of the girls (they are not going) as well I am hopeful Bekah and I will get a alone MK night again this yr being so close to the park :thumbsup2

I LOVE the idea of Nathan's food report. I think it would be so much fun to read & he would have a lot of fun doing it. :thumbsup2

me too...it was initally his idea I just helped nuture it into something he could share on the boards...

working on it :surfweb:

Hi Stephanie...

missed you over here...thanks for reading through all that...yes that day (end of school yr) was really tough for him and I :sad2:

I figured the airfare was gonna be bad...wished not...but 6 people + thanksgiving holiday... oh well....if it is the only thing we charge...it's not that bad...

We'll have to play it by ear for the Tink thing...but hopefully it will work out since most likely a few of her other things will be scratched due to budget...

The other 3 Lists….

I know many of you are busy w/ the full swing of summer (trips, camps, etc….) but I find myself in full DISNEY swing here….so I’m sorry for my need of love  w/ my fast burst of planning posts….

I figure come mid August the tide will switch and w/ school back in full mode I won’t actually have as much time plus the reality of a job for me would come in handy for daily expenses not to mention this little obsession of mine :rolleyes1….could be once again eminent come fall….

So w/ that let’s just keep Planning: :fish:

More of my Family’s TOP 5 general WDW choices:

Naomi-Ruth:

She will be a fresh new age 4 on the 2nd day of our trip….and this will be her 3rd trip to WDW (wow what a lucky little girl)

Her choices are her words…so let’s see what we can come up with.

1) meet Beauty…which means she wants to see and talk to Sleeping Beauty (no problem we should hopefully see her at CRT) Here she is last year having a little chat w/ Beauty

100_2207.jpg

and this is her meeting "Beauty" in 2008:

image123.jpg

2) Go on the train….(Daddy wants to do this too and as long as the train is operational during the Fantasyland refurb we should be able to fit this in) Here she is enjoying the train in 2008:

100_2295.jpg

3) Play with Mickey…(well who wouldn’t want to do that let’s have a meet and greet w/ the Big Cheese for some face to face play time shall we…options in park or at our Chef Mickey’s breakfast) Here is Mickey playing w/ Naomi-Ruth last yr and her blankie…

Image101.jpg

4) She says she wants to “move it”…. (well how about we try and see the Move it Shake it Celebrate it street show at MK…I don’t know much about it except this: it's a partial parade/party like thing starting on Main street and ending in front of the castle, it seems like it can can loud and a bit overcrowded very easily something Nathan would not like, time wise it appears it runs before and after the 3 pm parade. Here is what the Steve Soares site says: It’s party time when a cast of Disney characters, stilt walkers and other performers process down Main Street, U.S.A. toward Cinderella Castle to high-energy tunes such as “Breakout” and “I Like To Move It.” Floats decked out as gift-wrapped packages are part of the procession, and near the castle, Mad Hatter, Genie, Lumiere and Sebastian – the life and light of the party – pop out of four huge boxes. They join about a dozen other Disney characters headed by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse to mix and mingle and dance in the street with Magic Kingdom guests during a 12- to 15-minute party that takes place three times daily.
Daily at 11:00am, 12:30 & 5:40pm
) and here is a picture:

MKstreetparty.jpg

5) She wants to have a picnic (so I know they have done those picnics in the parks, but not sure if this is seasonal or how that works for DDP credits…but I bet a sandwich or snack sitting on the beach

CRbeach.jpg

could do)

Matt:

Or DH or Daddy, this will be his 8th trip to World (all but one not w/ me)…

1) go on the train at MK (he really loves the trains and someday would love to do the Behind the Steam Tour, he likes to see the engines roll out too)

100_2270.jpg

2) See Spectro (I’m right w/ him on this request, seriously no trip is complete w/out this parade…but will it be there? Will it be similar or completely different…we should have at least for sure 2 nights at MK that can work to see it)

100_2546.jpg

3) See either the Gorillas or Tigers (walking trails) at AK…(we have not done this since our 1998 trip or maybe 2005. We have this on our must list so it should be doable and w/ planning 1 morning and 1 almost full day at AK it would be sad if it didn’t work out…please just don’t let it be so hot….) Which trail do you recommend?

gorilla.jpg

4) Have a 1-ride night…. (he wants to walk over to MK go in, pick one ride go on it then leave….he thinks why not when we’re staying like a block away…you go for it honey!) I don't know his choice but I bet this would be one:

100_2339.jpg

5) Take the time to see more of the Street Acts/Live Entertainment at World Showcase…(another thing I think we’d all like and it’s Nathan’s top choice for our non Holiday Epcot day…I will be studying Steve Soares site quite a bit before we leave to tinker out a good plan for our Wed Epcot day)

chineseacrobatswdw.jpg

And for a sneaky write in: sneak into old river country….um the bail money was spent on a new watch for your wife….hehehe…he actually found a thread all about this once on the Disboards about some person or CM who walked all around old River Country just documenting how basically its all still there just nature run amuck over it…

Julie:

Me, myself and I….Scrappie takes on Disney! This will be my 8th trip as well (once as I child in the 80's, then '94, '95, '98, failed attempt in '01, '05, '08, and '09 plus 1 trip to DL in the late 80's as well)

1) new character experiences…(yes I’m still a big kid at heart and want to try and meet Tink and her friends, Tiana (and maybe get that cool new PP pic w/ the Frog Prince in my hand), go through the new Toy Story Character line (I saw cool pictures of Becky’s ladybugmom kids in the “toy boxes” I want to do that…)

FairiesMeetAndGreet_998.jpg

2) Try new snacks and drinks…(don’t worry this will have a whole post just dedicated to it…but a few that stick out…the Butterfinger cupcake at SRC in DHS and my first ever Dole Whip plus CP has me enticed by her drinks from World Showcase…where to start?) here's my favorite...

mickeyricekrispie.jpg

3) Go up in the Top of the World Lounge at BLT…(we’ll see how this works…seems to be 1st come 1st serve and not sure how crowded it get’s up there during Wishes…I love to go up see the views and see Wishes at least once!) plus my other BLT related request is to eat a BLT while I’m there

http://i235.*************************************20090814_1254.jpg

4) Have some awesome DISmeets! ..(I know irishdancer and her family we’ll try to meet up once or twice while we are there and jillyb and her family we are going to try and work out one meet as well, plus it would be super cool if Becky and I might be able to work out a visit too during our last two days and her 1st two depending on their arrival…now I have tried in the past like meet Carissa at Sci-Fi but we both forgot the #’s duh)

:disrocks:

5) Get our new Mickey Family Photo w/ Safari Mickey at AK…(as always a family photo w/ Mickey is a requirement on every trip and I have a little area downstairs showcasing each of these and so far Mickey has been different in each one…2005 Classic Parks Mickey, 2008 Hawaiian Mickey from O’Hana, and 2009 Sorcerer Mickey.) as long as I’m talking pictures of course I will make sure I get each of the kids timeline shots, DH & I by the NY backdrop and we need to get an awesome picture w/ something Holiday-ish for our Christmas card/letter…

here is our Mickey Family Photo from 08:

100_2031-1.jpg

Lastly as a side note…(it was really hard to pick 5 things) see Wishes and the Castle lighting (into icicles) is a MUST! Multiple times if we can…

Well there you have it….now let’s make a TRIP! :genie:

Up NEXT: the nitty critty budget details….

Thanks for reading as always,

J~

Get update! I'm thinking this would be the perfect vacation to really explore BLT and relax! You have to go to that lounge....too cool!

Get update! I'm thinking this would be the perfect vacation to really explore BLT and relax! You have to go to that lounge....too cool!

Yes I agree...I have tweaked a bit of my inital "bones" itinerary to really allow the time to be there and hang out...I will start posting that stuff in the next month or so.

Oh, I love reading about the top 5 choices of things you all want to do.

I had to laugh at the "one-ride" night. I don't think I could go into MK and just do 1 ride ... but I like the idea of just going and doing 3 or 4 rides and relaxing in the park for a night.
