Hello Girls,

I just wanted to say..."Hello" to all of you. I have already started doing my research here for the wedding. I am booked for the February 7, 2010 4 night cruise. I am a simple gal so I think I will not add much to the dcl wedding package. I am just happy to finally be able to marry my stinky man ( I say that with love :goodvibes)

I actually went dress shopping and I am shocked at the prices of dresses for informal weddings. Plus, I am not entirely svelte so... I have my work cut out for me

good luck!!

Check out Alfred Angelo..They have a large Destiny Collection and check out my PJ..I was a 22 when I first started shopping for dresses and ended up having my 16 taken in a large amount

Congratulations!!!!! I'm just in the dreaming stages for a possible Vow Renewal next year. I'd be looking for a simple dress and I found alot of cute options that are actually bridesmaids dresses that come in white, so that may be something to check out. Have a great time planning!:goodvibes

Check out Davidsbridal.com I purchased a semi informal gown for 99 plus shipping....Congrats! We are doing a DCL Vow renewal on 4/23/2009...7 night cruise

2/7/10! Your getting married the day before me:goodvibes Yay for Feb brides! Are you actually getting married on the 7th or another day of your cruise?

Seems that there are more and more coming out to "post" it seemed like when I started posting about DD getting married on the Cruise there wern't that many DCL brides on here......Congratulations and Happy planning.

Are you getting married on board or on the beach? If you want something informal I would just look for white dresses without the title of "wedding". There are tons of really cute ones that aren't $$$$.

Congrats.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome! I am also taking your advice and going to David's Bridal and the Alfred Angelo store this weekend. I will look at bridesmaid dresses too. I am not getting myself into debt with the wedding so I want to pay things off when I get them. Simple, inexpensive, but special will be my focus. Don't be too proud...I filed for BK about 2 years ago so I am trying to learn from my mistakes.

I am scheduled to get married on board so I think my actual ceremony will be on the 8th...the day we port at the Bahamas. I would have liked to have the ceremony at CC but I was told by Cathy that it was already booked. Darn it! I considered changing cruise dates but it is really the cruise dates that work for us. It's my son's 6th b-day on the 10th of Feb so it could be just a wonderful celebration for us. I figure I am blessed to be a Disney Bride so I am not going to be too picky.

Unfortunately, it looks like we will be lucky to have any guests at all. Everyone is either not willing or able to make the expense to go on the cruise and travel from SoCal. My family is not thrilled with me getting married so it will just be special for us three.

Cheers!

Mami
