I'm off to the Hilton Waikoloa!

Hi All!

Well, in about 10 hours (I haven't even packed yet!) I will be leaving for the Hilton Waikoloa on the Big Island! Woo hoo! 6 nights there, so I probably won't be able to visit WISH, although I'm going to try.

Please give me the strength to at least MAINTAIN what I've lost, but I'm hoping to lose a little with all the walking we'll probably be doing. The Hilton Waikoloa is a gorgeous resort, and for those of you who've never been, this is a plug for you to visit! I have a digital camera and will make an attempt to post some pics here when I return on Friday, July 11th! (I might needs some help from the techies here!)

Oh, have a MARVELOUS time!!!! I know you will LOSE!!! All that walking and swimming - and SUN! I hope the weather is perfect for you every day. And the promise of photos - I LOVE that. Now I will be wishing away the time until the 11th! ENJOY!!!

I hope I catch you in time for you to read this! Please take some pictures of those Hawaiian flowers!! I'd love to use one as my screensaver! I bet all the pictures will be out of this world- and have a FABULOUS trip- all that walking will look great on you and burn all that lovely Hawaiian food right off!

Well, I'm baaacckkk!!!

Tara, unfortunately, I didn't catch your message in time. However, I hope that I have some other pictures that might be suitable! I'm going to attempt to post pictures sometime this weekend, we're still recovering! Sadly, even though we live in Hawaii, we too are prone to sunburn, even with sunscreen! Ugh!

Anyway, it was a great trip. We ate a lot, but we also walked a lot (I did a bare minimum of 10,000 steps per day, but one day I even did 16,000!). We also rented kayaks and paddleboats and things, so I'm sure that helped too.

Again, the Hilton Waikoloa is SUCH a gorgeous resort, I hope that any of you who visit the Big Island will consider staying there if you have the chance. If you can afford the food, you could literally stay there for a week and have lots to do, but a car is nice because you can drive around and see so many types of geographical features ranging from lava flows, to water falls, to desert-like areas. I know I take living here for granted, but I am really awe-struck when I visit the neighbor islands, which is not often enough! (I've been to California and Vegas more times than I've visited the other islands!)

Anyhow, I still need to assess whether or not I've maintained...we were lucky enough to have a scale in our room, and it looks like I at least maintained, and one day it even seemed like I lost weight! I'll post on the weekly check-in this weekend.

WELCOME BACK!

This week went by way to fast. I'm not complaining to have you back, but man I can just imagine how much you wish you were still there! ha ha! Really, it seems like we just said "Have a great trip" and now you are back posting again. I'm so glad you got in all that walking! Sending soothing skin Pixie Dust to help with those sunburns! I'm sure you maintained or lost, I just know it! There is something about being in the midst of paradise that just seems like it should facilitate your easy journey to a healthier, leaner you!!! ha ha!

Thanks for the mini review too. I will keep this in mind definitely when we start making our plans. Who knows, we might have to have a WISH mini meet in early 2005!!! ha ha ha! Is that enough time to get us penciled in for a fruity drink?

Glad you had fun. I am waiting for those pictures too, but you just rest, relax, get that laundry done and take it easy!
