That's it! It's out! I'm cheating on one of the loves of my life. Of course, I'm cheating with the actual top-dog love of my life!!! :teeth:

DH and I leave TOMORROW for WDW (yes, the one in Florida!!! :woohoo: ) for an adults only pre-Christmas vacation!!!!!!

This is no way, shape or form diminishes my intense love of everything DL. I remain (relatively) loyal to the original vision of Walt's dream. Ultimately, I will return to DL with no regrets, and continue to cherish every moment I spend in the DLR. :cloud9:

That's it. That's my disclaimer. I've had it checked by Disney's legal department, and it absolves me of any and all liability that results from my bi-coastal obsession.

I really should be packing...

Have a great time and let us know what you think about the 2 different Worlds.

You will have a ball. It is so big and spread out and has everything you can think of, the food is great, I usually go there but picked DL this time, I can't waot to compare. Funny, I also feel like a cheater, I go to DW every year Have a FUNTASTIC time and let us know as a DL lover what you think of the comparison :santa:

Hope you have a great time! :woohoo:

I'm really looking forward to hearing back from you about WDW. DH and I are also going on an "adult only" trip to the "other side" ;) in January, so I want to get the scoop :listen: about WDW from you when you get back. :thumbsup2

My wife, brother, and I were there Dec 2nd-8th, and had a good time - didn't feel like we were cheating at all. We saw the taping of the Christmas parade that will be shown on Christmas day. If it looks like people are overheated, they were - it was mid-80's that day. Right after the taping was wrapped they started taking down many of the decorations on Main Street, which was surprising. I'd say DL is decorated "more and better" than MK, but the other parks, particularly MGM, are well done. A few highlights for us:

- Osborne lights at MGM's New York Street. Don't miss it!

- Cranium Command at EPCOT. The Wonders of Life pavillion is only open seasonally, so this was a rare chance to see this show, one of EPCOT's originals.

- Carousel of Progress in MK. The original NY World's Fair show.

- Voices of Liberty at American Adventure in EPCOT. Check your entertainment calendar for show times. Great a cappella vocal work, now doing Christmas songs.

- Christmas decorations at the various locations outside the parks like Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, and Downtown Disney.

Have a magical time. I feel the same way about DL, but it hasn't stopped us. We did our adults only trip the end of Oct/first of Nov. Now we have two places to love, but DL still has the special spot in my heart.

Hi everybody!!! Boy, you've all been busy posting---I've got a lot of reading to do!!! We had an awesome adults only trip, and remembered to book the Bounce Back offer, so I already have a new counter for August! I've got 2 weeks until our next DL trip, and I can't wait!

As I think most of you know, we do DL 4-6 times a year, and WDW 1 or 2 times a year. In between trips, we do have jobs!!! :teacher: Whenever anyone posts asking about the "diff between DL or WDW", I am always in the "apples to oranges" camp. However, if you go to both places enough, the glaring differences start to slap you right in the face.

Without the kids, we are able to relax a lot more, and spend time noticing all of the differences between the coasts. In many ways, DL always comes out on top! PotC---please! Ride is awesome, plus we've got BB. HM Holiday---love the original, but we have TWO awesome HMs to enjoy! Fantasyland---can't beat the original design! Walking from park to park---it's a commitment of time to go to another park at WDW!

However, WDW has a huge assortment of unbelievable things to do and see! Especially during the holidays! The decorations beat DL hands down, and the MVMCP is my favorite thing on earth. EMH before and after is a huge benefit, and being able to stay onsite for under $100 is great.

I could go on and on. I'll just say it was an awesome vacation, and we're so happy to be home safe and sound and ready for Christmas with the family. If anybody has any questions, I'll be happy to help you with the differences between my favorite places. In the meantime, I'm busy getting ready for MLK in the REAL Happiest Place on Earth!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:
