I'm now eligible to be Belle at WDW!

According to Chris aka Euphoria who is now a character greeter, WDW is so desperate for new face character performers right now that they've lowered the princess height range to start at 5'3"! The shortest used to be 5'5". I'm 5' 3 1/2" Omigod, omigod, that finally puts me in Belle's range! Yahoo! Now, I just have to hope it stays that way for another year or two until I can audition again....

BTW, if you're wondering, Chris has been doing his new job for a few weeks now and seems to be getting the hang of it. I think it sounds fun. hehe. He told me yesterday that once when it was time for Genie to go inside, he told Genie that his lamp alarm was going off. lol.

I don't think it's a dumb rule. They want people who reasonably fit the costumes and look somewhat similar to one another, no?

But it says you must be at least 5'5". What if one princess is 5'5" and another 5'10"? Oh well, I guess Minnie and Mickey must be short definately to fit into those costumes.

Oh, I was assuming they have a max height for Belle as well. They do for fur characters. I went through an audition once, and I believe Mickey & Minnie were MAX 5'0". At 5'6", I'm Pluto height. 5'5" does seem to be a pretty tall minimum height since that's average for girls. It actually seems like most of the face characters (females) that I see are shorter than me. I wonder why Belle would be taller???

Good Luck in becoming Belle! she's my favorite! i know the girl who plays Ariel in the MK parade and she wanted desperately to be belle but did not get it. she looks more like ariel to me though!

Good luck Angie! How tall do you need to be for Goofy? That would be my best bet.
