We had a Wrestling tournament this weekend and while we were talking Disney World was brought up.
I mentioned how I had been 16 times and only hated my on site hotel 1 time . One of the Moms said they went to Disney 2 years ago and stayed at the worst hotel ever ! I asked her if she stayed on property. She said yes it was the Coronado Springs . I knew I couldnt be the only one . I know alot of people LOVE it but I cant ever even think about going there again

I certainly wouldn't call it the "worst hotel ever" but CS is by far the least favorite Disney resort I've stayed at and that includes several stays at AS. Lots of people rave about it though. Different strokes for different folks. Plenty of resorts to choose from at WDW to please everyone's tastes.

What exactly is wrong with it? I've never stayed onsite at any of the hotels.....even though I'm practically next door to WDW, it would still be nice to stay on their property once....

I have also heard mixed reviews about it. A friend who really enjoyed it and a friend of a family member who hated it! I am not sure it I would like it or not.....

I stayed there a few years ago and I liked it. I was not with a convention, but that might be part ofd the problem. CS is set up to cater to conventions, so it is run a little differently than the rest of the moderates.

I am from New England, so the themeing etc was very neat to me...very different from what I am used to.

DH was working a technical convention there a few years ago and the kids and I drove down for the weekend. We had a great time. The grounds were beautiful and the pool nice. We were only there a few days and were used to staying at the Contemporary. The rooms were smaller but nice. What didn't you like?

I never did understand why some people hate CSR. It seems like people either love it or hate it and if you love it you can't understand why some hate it and if you hate it you can't understand why some love it.

I guess I am just glad that there are so many choices for us all. I personally hated the Swan but I know it has a big following.

We really enjoyed our stay at CSR last spring. It doesn't measure up to the deluxe resorts, but we liked it better than ASsports. It was quiet when we were there(only a small convention).

We really enjoyed CSR. AKL is still our fav, but we liked it better than POR.

At least Disney has enough resorts to meet everyones needs and taste.

I am sorry if I offended anyone at all about my thoughts on the CSR. I just did not care for it at all . I know a ton of people on the boards love it there. I just thought it was "Hokey" looking to me . I just didnt enjoy that trip at all because of that hotel. I did try to be moved but the ones I had stayed in were full that week or I would have had to pay rack rate and that was not possible.I was scared to move to another hotel there that I had not stayed in before . Just because I was worried it may be worse then what I was in
I love the DXL ( it will always be the DXL to me )
I LOVED the Wilderness Lodge there is nothing like waking up in the morning with the Castle right outside . Nothing like having all those cute little towel animals waiting for you when you get back to your room ....Or the nice little cookies they baked each night for the kids on the 7th floor . awwwww how I miss it
