I'm not 40, I'm eighteen with 22 years experience.

We were 36 (me) and 38 (DH) when we purchased in 1996. We have 15 years of great vacation memories with our 2 kids - still wish we could have done it sooner!

DW and I went to Florida for my 30th (found an awesome deal) and the hotel we stayed at was completely crappy!

So as soon as we got home, we bought. I was 30 and DW was 27. We have been member for almost 2 years and hope to soon add on!

Both DH and I were 45. But we have an excuse, it wasn't around before that.

Oops, I think I just gave away my age.

Dh was 33 and I was 37. We purchased in 2005 and like other posters, we should have done it sooner!!!

I was 37 as was my wife. Our kids were 6 and 7. We have been members for 19 years, OKW, so now the kids are 26 and 25. My wife and I are still 37:rotfl2:

Almost identical! :thumbsup2
I was 32 DH was 36, kids were 5 and 7. We bought 18 years ago at OKW after thinking about for one year. Still wish we would have done it the first year. Had many a great family vacations, now it's just the two of us. We feel like we are the same age as the kids and on our second honeymoon.

Years: 18, Trips: too many to count, Miles: more than I can imagine,
Time at WDW: magical & priceless. pixiedust:

I'm very impressed with the posters who bought in in their 20s.:worship: You're the ones who will get the most out of your membership. Although it's a little odd that I think owning a timeshare at Disney in one's 20sis a sign of maturity!:rotfl:

We were 34 when SSR first opened and we jumped in. We were planning to return to CBR several years after a fun week in early '01. We'd taken the tour at the Boardwalk back in '01 when VWL was being offered - we loved it, but the timing was all wrong financially. Somehow we still had the promotional book three years and two moves later. One call later to our guide, and the CBR res. was replaced!

Now we've just started celebrating anniversaries of our 39th like some other posters.:scared1: We also have two little ones -- it'll be DS1s first trip in June, and we can't wait for them to experience the magic.:cloud9:

I see we have a nice mix of DVC owners here. Your answers make me smile! :)
Any others willing to share? :goodvibes

The other day someone asked me what I thought was the best time of life. "Why," I answered without a thought, "now."

We bought back in 1993. I was 27 and dh was 29. We had bought a starter home, and both cars were paid off. No kids yet. We took our siblings, and parents on many trips during the nineties. Tix were free to the 3 parks back then with your membership, sweet!

Anyway, we always wanted children, but had both grown up kind of lower middle class, so we wanted a way to guarantee we'd always have a family vacation. Our daughters have had many wonderful trips. DH and I have enjoyed a 3 day break from parenting at HHI each year for several years, thanks to my parents!

I bought this year. I'm 24 my husband is 27. We joke because we bought a vacation interest before we bought a real home. (Neither of us is too interested in having a drive way to snowblow, a yard to keep up, etc.)

We are right there with ya :goodvibes. We bought DVC before we bought our first house (we have been living in a Condo for 10 years)....I was 36 and my DH was 34. We bought into BLT last September while we were vacationing in Disney....I knew I wanted to take a tour, DH said sure just to look but not buy, next I know we were signing on the dotted line :cool1::love:....he said he knew we were going to buy all a long but was making it a surprise :goodvibes :dance3:

My wife and I just bought in (took our first trip home last month) and we are both 35.

We have two girls - 2 and 5 - so we are looking forward to making many memories both at WDW and off-site locales (looking forward to checking out Hilton head and Vero in the future).

I wanted to buy after my previous trip to WDW in 2009 but held off. I do somewhat regret not buying in a little sooner (when prices were lower), but we did not hold off for too long!

I admit I am a bit surprised at how many people are replying with ages in the 20s and early 30s. I think that is awesome!

Just in ROFR now. DH is 37 I', 35. kids 7& 3. Praying it goes through. And yes, I soooooo should've bought when I was on my honeymoon and we looked at it.

I was 31 and DH was 34 when we bought. First looked when I was 27. We should have bought then.
