I'm new to US. Can I access all the restaurants if we only go to US?

I feel so lost when I'm reading about US/IOA because we usually only do Disney and have never done US before. All the restaurants sound wonderful but I'm wondering if they're actually in the parks, which parks, or at the US hotels. Is there a website that actually tells where the restaurants are? Emerils, Bob Marley, Tchoupe Chop (or whatever it's called) etc. etc. Can anyone help?

Also, which park do you guys think would be better for a 5yo boy, US or IOA?

Sorry to sound so incredibly stupid but like I said, I'm new! We are so excited about visiting US and trying something new for a change!:D

Thanks so much for your help!!:Pinkbounc

All those restaurants that you mentioned are at CityWalk so yes, you can access all of them.

Both parks are great and have things that a 5 year old would enjoy so I wouldn't know which to recommend. My son is 8 and has a blast at both parks. Really depends on what he likes. If he's really into dinosaurs, Dr. Seuss and super heroes then IOA is your best bet. Also, they have a great kiddie coaster, The Flying Unicorn that's alot of fun. The thing is there, though that I experienced when my son was younger that he wasn't tall enough for many of the rides and it upset him greatly.

US has more that he could ride but some might be before his time like Jaws, Terminator & the Lucy attraction. However, even they are still alot of fun.

Have a great time no matter what you do!

Tchope Chop is in the Royal Pacific Hotel. The rest are in city walk.
Mythos (a fav of posters here) is in IOA.
My favorite restaurant in US is Finnegains (spelling?)

As for which park... Thats a hard one to anwer. Prior to the new attiditons in US I would have said IOA. There was more they could do at US but more they would want to do at IOA. Now US has Shrek and Jimmy Nutron. We haven't been since Jan 2002 so we haven't seen any of the newer attractions. I can't wait until our trip July 2

You can eat at Mythos in IOA without paying for park admission. Go to the Will Call/Customer Service window (to the right of the ticket booths) and ask them how the dining pass for Mythos works.

Thats good to know Kelly never knew that thanks:jester: I would say if u can park hop it will be best as theres lots to see and do in both parks:jester:
