I'm new to this...Question about Renting

I'm trying to plan a trip. How do I express my desire for points? I'm wanting to stay in the Villas for a 7 nights. Can someone please take me under their wing and help with this process? Thanks.

First thing you do is go to the Rent/Trade board and read through all of the stickies, to be sure you understand the process thoroughly. After that, don't hesitate to come back here and ask questions, if you have any. Renting is nothing like reserving a room through Disney, and it's important to understand the differences.

At the top of the board is a link to the point charts. Figure out how many points would be required for the dates and room type that you want. As for the wording, read through other posts on the board and you'll see how it's done.

I do have to say, though, that you may have great difficulty finding a villa on such short notice. Most DVC villas are reserved 7-11 months in advance, so trying to find something weeks out is going to be kind of tough.

Just a note...the above two posts have been edited to remove resort/date info. General renting questions are allowed here, but they must be free of specific info so they do not fall into the category of offering a reservation or seeking a reservation anywhere but the Rent/Trade Board.

DVC reservations are in high demand. The earlier you book the better chance you have in getting your desired accommodations. Some dates for next December are already sold out.
