Hey everyone! I'm Melissa, and I'm relatively new to the boards. I used to post on here once in a while, but I stopped about a year ago. With College starting (and all the time I spent on another Disney message board ) I didn't have much time to spend here! I'm back, though, so I just wanted to re-introduce myself!
I'm 19, I'm from New York City, and I'm a second semester freshman at Brooklyn College. My three passions in life are NYC, traveling, and music. The city is an amazing place to live,and I love being able to take advantage of all of the opportunities here, such as Broadway, the many comedy clubs, and the fact that everything is still open at all hours of the night When it comes to music, I'm a ROCK girl at heart. My idols happen to be Cher and Elton John, but my favorite bands are Blink 182, Green Day, White Stripes, My Chemical Romance, All-American Rejects, Fall Out Boy, The Darkness, The Killers, Weezer, Reggie and the Full Effect, and Morningwood. I also LOVE Classic Rock, such as Billy Joel, John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Queen, Supertramp, Meat Loaf, The Eagles, Fleetwod Mac, and a lot of others.
I love to travel anywhere and everywhere, but of course one of my FAVORITE vacation spots is Orlando! I've been to Orlando three times, the last time being last summer. After five years of begging my parents to take my brother and I back (after LOVING my trip with friends for my 8th grade senior tip in 2001), we were lucky enough to drive down to Orlando, rent a house, and spend a MONTH in the area. It was crazy!!! I'm going to being posting my trip report later on today, so look for it in that forum! I'm currently planning our fourth trip to the area for this coming summer. We'll again be renting a house and spending three weeks down there. It should be fun!
I just thought I'd introduce myself a bit before I got started on the boards. I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys!
