So they won't even answer questions until you're within 365 days? How frustrating! I wonder if you could... um... lie :rolleyes1 and set a date within the 365 days just so you could get your questions answered, and then reschedule? I mean, normally I wouldn't condone lying to them, but for them to not be willing to answer questions - and yet you can't decide where you want to get married until they answer those questions - that's really poor customer service.

Some of the moe detail oriented questions aren't addressed until after you sign your contract and meet with your EM for the first time... that's closer to 8 months. Also, be very careful lying to them about the date of your wedding. Your EM is assigned to you based on the week of the year. You could be playing roulette...

Promise it will go fast! Do you still have questions you're looking for answers to? PM me if you do and I'll see what I can find (even if I ask my EM.... ;) )

Hi everyone,

I was directed here from a poster on the Modern Bride message boards and I'm so excited that I've finally found a place to ask questions and talk about everything relating to a WDW wedding and actually get answers! Glad to meet all of you!

Okay, I'll get right to the point: my FH, Chris, and I decided with our families over the weekend to have our wedding at WDW. We've looked at the Disney Weddings website and we created a Wish Book, but we haven't really made any decisions yet (it's kind of early for that -- we're looking for a June 3, 2007 wedding). My question is this -- do we have to wait until next June to at least tentatively reserve our date, or could we do that now and have the peace of mind knowing that we're going to be able to have our wedding when and where we want it? Just wanted to know. Thanks for the help, and I hope to get to know all of you soon! ::MickeyMo

After reading the site I believe you can Reverve now, I know you have to reserve a year ahead, I won't reserve my day until around the time you get married, Lol. Let me know how it is! Are you having the ceremony in the Wedding pavilion? :bride:

The definately do answer questions before the 365 day mark!
I am planning on getting married in December 2006. I was already going to WDW in September this year so i phoned up and booked a site visit and spend ages going over other various things and i havent booked my date yet! They definately will answer questions before the 365 day mark! you just havent "officially booked" before then. We put our names down for our date and our sales manager said she will email me if anyone else is putting their name down for the day. She said she rarely gets 2 people trying for the same thing- especially a weekday! also is someone wants your day - you can try getting married at a different time so if 2 people wanted 11am on the 5th December i can move to 1pm etc. Dont forget there are also other locations so if your not flexible with your date then maybe you can change the location or time! I think if anyone sees someone else will be trying for the same thing they would try and find something else suitable if they can - no one is really going to want that extra worry if they can help it!

hi tinkerbell7801 & welcome to the dis! disney begins booking weddings at 1 year out, most often confirming the space at 8 months out, there are tons of locations & choices. although waiting is a pain, no one else can book before the year mark either like others have mentioned. time flies & you can actually still get a good idea of your wedding budget & what you want before hand with disneys website & dftw sales manager, you can also set up a site visit at wdw, get info & ideas here on the dis & the unofficial site yourfairytale.com.

best of luck with your plans!
