Im filled with mixed emotions right now....I checked the bluebook on the Coleman Yosimite(the 3rd one on Carols list) and it was 2800, he refuses to budge on the price right now because he just listed it and it has gotten alot of attention. Gina wont even consider paying more than NADA price. I spoke with the folks selling the one in Gulfport several days ago and it had already been sold at that point...they should delete the listing. #5, the Columbus,GA one has been deleted so I assume its sold as well.
BUT - just before I left for work last night someone posted one thats only about an hour from my house....there hasnt been one for sale in my general area in soo long that I cant even tell you the last time I saw a listing near me in my price range. I called...he said he's leaving for ATL but will be home Sunday morning and If I have the cash...he's got the title. Its listed for 3500, but the bluebook is only 2500 and he said, and I quote "That'll work, bubba!" Apparently my new nick name is Bubba, and im ok with that as long as he sells me his pop-up!! This may not be THE GREATEST POP-UP for the price...but DANG, Im tired of searching!!!
Here's the
listing, and heres the
pics.
Also, kaguilbeau lives just about 2 hours from me and found what looks to be a nice popup while driving to work. She was nice enough to stop and get the number and take a picture for me, all the while under the watchful eye of Jesus....I have to post the story she wrote me...
A quick, funny story. . . . when we pulled into the yard, I noticed an older woman with long hair standing on the front porch. She was wearing a bathrobe/housecoat. I told my son, "Look, Brent - she is even waiting for us!" He said, "Mom, that is Jesus!" Sure 'nuf, they had a life size statue of Jesus on their front porch!
Only in Louisiana's cajun country will ya find good folks with a life sized BUDDY JESUS statue standing on their front porch!!!
Here's a pic of the pop-up...
I'll call these guys as soon as I wake up this afternoon...and heres
what I picture the jesus statue to look like...
And a HUGE THANK YOU to kagilbeau for taking the time to stop and get the number and a pic for me!!!
so...things are looking up in the camper department. Now....when I got home this morning...Im digging through one of my kitchen cabinets and found an old pencil case I used to stash money in a couple of years back and could feel that their was something in it......501 dollars!!!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!! First thought was that Gina had been hiding money from me because I refuse to ever keep any kind of savings for emergencies (I dont really REFUSE...I just CANT DO IT!!) So I storm in and ask her "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS???I cant believe you would stash money behind my back!!!" She had NO IDEA what I was talking about and her eyes buldged when I showed her the cash!!! This has been a GREAT morning, needless to say!! I dont know how long that money's been there....or even worse...when the heck did I ever have it
sooo good that I wouldnt MISS $500??? But it sure got itself found at a perfect time!!!!

Oh yeah...and I saved the Directv service tech from a corn snake in my yard this morning. The guy must have been 6'6" and 300lbs...screamed like a girl when he saw it,swore to me that it was a copperhead!!! it had to be all of 8 inches long.....silly girlyman!!
