I'm just back from the Wonder, and I got to be .....

a contestant on Mouseketeer!!! When I was on stage, Mark asked me if I was a Disney fan, and I said I did put in a lot of time on the DIS boards ... only a few people in the audience cheered, and I found out later it was BethC, who took a picture of me on her digital camera!! ***Thanks Beth!***

I will post a trip report this weekend, but just wanted to say hello and I'd be happy to answer any questions ... as soon as I can begin looking at my computer screen without feeling like I'm still on the boat!

wow that is neat ... What did u win , on the DEC 5th cruise i was on the panel.... and a great job we did A girl won a cruise and another guy came very close..... was neat to be up there ...
Peter got a great panelist pin at the end...

I was SO nervous!! You can't see the audience at all from up there, and I found myself second-guessing even the easiest questions!!

I won $80 in shopboard credit, I lost at the $175 mark ... I had already polled the audience on the previous question, and I took the 50/50 for this one, which was something like: "What were Donald and Goofy hunting in Disney's 1938 Polar Tracker?" The two answers I was left with was seal and walrus .. some on the panel were shrugging their shoulders so I decided to just go with seal .... and of course it was walrus!! One guy on the panel told me the next day that they would have said seal too, so that made me feel a bit better. But I kicked myself the rest of the trip ... now I know how those real game-show contestants must feel when they miss a question!

The cool part is that Mickey was right backstage waiting to give me a high-five and I also got a pin that said Mousketeer contestant. All in all, very fun!
Disney does rock, that's for sure!

Isn't it a blast to be up on that stage! I got to be a contestant last December. There was a young boy in the front row who kept yelling the wrong answers just to confuse me...which of course he did. I got to the same level as you did but when I walked off the stage I popped a contact lense and the CM had to wait for me to get it back in..LOL...I did get a picture with Mickey up on the stage after the show!
I just remember the lights being soooo bright and my heart beating soooo loudly. But what fun! Congratulations for joining the fraternity of 'Who wants to be a Mousketeer!!

I just got back very late last night!

Seeing mivvers on stage was a blast (say "Hi" to your mom for us! I hope you enjoyed the rest of your cruise!

I'm sorry it's so dark--I'm using my laptop computer at the moment and all of my graphic software is in my office (where I don't have to be until Thursday!). I took over 800 pictures and have to sort through them, but will post more shortly.

It was a great cruise, I'll be posting my trip report once I get myself together again!

Congrats of your Mouseketeer win! Wasn't it a blast!!!!! I was lucky enough to be chosen on the Dec 1 Wonder cruise and I made it all the way to the top!!!! I still can't believe that I won the cruise. The sad part was that my husband didn't get to see it. After I won, Rick the cruise director and host asked if he was in the audience and I tried to answer evasively. I didn't want to mention that he was really back in the stateroom sick in bed with all of virus hysteria going on. As it turns out, he either had food poisoning or an unexplained sudden bout of flu that had him sick for the rest of the cruise I guess all of the planets were lined up in the right way for me because I also won family trivia (with an adopted family) and a game of Bingo that day, too.

Congrats again and hang on to that coveted pin!

I was wondering-- what is the sure way to get on stage? Sit in a certain area, or shout out when they ask for volunteers? We didn't see the show when we were on the Wonder in Oct, but are starting to plan a 7 night in Oct 03, so hopefully we'll go and hopefully I can be on it!!

They pick contestants radomly by seat row and number. The computer picks the number. If there is no one seated in the seat that is called I belive they pick the first person to the right of that seat.

I think panelists are picked the old fashioned way......by yelling and screaming!!!

Just jump up and yell and scream and wave your arms and you might get a chance to be picked for being on the panel. I did and was. I had a great time. We were asked two questions, the first one I was pretty sure about the right answer but the rest of the panel wanted to pick another answer and did and it was unfortunately wrong. The player said he would pick that answer anyway. The second question I knew the answer and nobody else did so we got that one right and we wound up being 50/50. It was a lot of fun and real exciting. Got a real nice panelist pin.
