I tried this one for the first time sunday nite. It is YUMMY!!!! :cheer2:

She says it only takes 30min, but it took me 45 min!! What's up with that!!!?
But really, it is GOOD!! :jumping2:

.

That's because she has her pans already out and she "prepares" her produce when she brings it home. It almost always takes me longer to make her stuff too. Have you made her stroganoff? DH LOVES it!!

Homemade Potato Soup.
Made with cream and LOTS of cheese. Sprinkled with lots of bacon and green onion tops.
Now, if it would just cool down, I would make some.
Oooh yummy, that sounds heavenly!! :)

Hey JennInTN,

Could we pretty please get that recipe for potato soup????

No malibuconlee, i have never made her stroganoff. i'll try to find that on the website!
Thanks! :bounce:

I'm making that tomorrow night! I use Rachel Ray's recipe. MMM.

Sounds good!!!! :) My son watches her show. He's only 10. :confused3 I guess he likes her. :rotfl:

Enjoy it! :)

Here's my potato soup recipe if anyone's interested

2 cans cream of chicken soup (the regular size ones)
1 cup water
2 cups diced potatoes peeled
2 soup cans full of milk
6 strips of bacon
3 TBPS. bacon drippings

Cook bacon. Set aside. Pour off all but three TBPS of drippings. Add water and drippings in large pan. Add potatoes, cover and simmer 15 minutes or until tender. Add soup, milk, and crumbled bacon. Simmer until hot.

This makes enough for DH and I to eat and have leftovers. If making it for a family I would double it.

My MIL hated potato soup growing up. She eats and makes my recipe now.

stroganoff

Here's the link to the recipe. I posted that instead of the recipe. (I do leave out the cornichons ) Because there is also this apple radish onion salad and dressing that sound weird but are really good that goes with it.

I have trouble finding beef tenderloin in the case, so I buy eye of round steak and slice it thin. Works well. Do put the meat in the freezer for a few minutes to firm it up and make it easier to cut.

I love Rachel Ray and her recipes. She has some great ones. Her Cinnamon Peaches with Sugar Biscuits and Whipped Cream is another of DH's favorites.

Gee, why can't I loose any weight. :confused3 :rotfl2:

Corn Chowda
w. a stick of butter
a pint of heavy cream
bacon
potatoes
corn

milk

I made stroganoff last night - and noone else would eat it  except DD 1

I made Steak and Mushroom Gravy the other night when I was in the mood for something fattening. Brown tender steak (filet is the best but any tender steak cut will work) in a pan then add milk and cream of mushroom soup and let it simmer until steak is very tender and soup has turned into a gravy consistency. Serve with mashed potatoes. I usually make green beans cooked in white wine with bacon to go with it. Sometimes I add additional mushrooms but DH hates them so not that often anymore.

*drooling like homer simpson*

My DH is in love with Rachael Ray. She's his new obsession.

Thanks for the recipe Jenn!!

malibuconlee - thanks for yours, too. I love Rachel Ray. My 3 yr old knew who she was when he was 2!! All of a sudden she came on one day and he said 'hey, that's rachel ray'!!

Paula Deen is another one of my favorites

Try her Not Yo Momma's Banana Pudding. It should be on the website!
and i've also made other stuff from her that is DELICIOUS!!!

Ding, ding, ding have I got a winner when it comes to fattening!!!

I've lost the recipe, BUT you can still make it easily. You make a meatloaf (the original recipe calls for oatmeal as the binding ingredient, you'll see why in a second... and tomato juice and soup added to it), then divide it in two. Place on half in a loaf pan. In a pan, sautee some mushrooms and onions (butter of course), then stir in sour cream. Place that in the loaf pan. Top with the other half of the meatloaf mix.

Yummy, but it's got to have about a thousand fat grams per serving!

How do you expect to cook the Lasagna when you are DISing :confused3 :teeth:

Do you have some red wine to go with it? :drinking1

Yesterday I was so cold and so sick of the rain that I made a big 'ol pot of Beef Stew. Yum. Served it with some Grands rolls from the oven. That hit the spot.

Tonight's Chinese Food (delivered of course!).
