Im In!!! ..1st call...Last table

OMGosh....I got the last table at CRT. At about 7 minutes on hold She came on.....But how weird it was because the background music kept playing while we were talking and then she started singing along to PeterPan...I first thought...Okay, wow even the reservationist are full of the disney spirit.
She said "someones watching PeterPan I see"
I said "no, it is the background music"
She said "oh on your phone...that is pleasant"
I said.."no it is from your end...it din't shut off when you answered"

At first I thought oh no...she is going to try and fix something...put me on hold...try and get the music to stop.
Think fast..." But I just Love it" !
She just said "so sorry" and continued on with the resy!SUPER NICE--All Customer Service people in all buisnesses should have the Disney training before reaching for the phone!

Anyone know though...They ask you if you have been to Disney before or not on the recording and I pressed 2 that it was my first time. Did this in anyway hamper my placing on the call in list.
I was dead last and even though I have a resy...that really close. So next time, I was just wondering.
And what happens when they ask you for your phone# and you just press 1 again--I entered mine, butI have read that you can press 1--I was afraid to risk it.

YIPPPPPEEEEEEEEEE-- We are in....table of 4....The last table of 4!! for Jan. 31st.
First time ever. I am so EXCITED.

But for Jan 29th!!! CRT will be closed my whole trip except for this day and I woke up really early on Halloween morning with my husband and got it right away for 8:15. Now my husband doesn't believe me that it is so hard to get!

I think that if you would have just pushed 1-1 as soon as the message came on that you probably would have gotten through sooner. Then you don't have to go through all those questions about it being your first time. If they really want to know they will ask you when you talk to someone. I actually practiced a couple days before the day I was supposed to call. That was actually recommended to me by a CM when I made my PS for HDDR.

But Congrats to you!! It's so exciting, isn't it? I can't wait to see my DD8's face when she wakes up one morning on vacation to an invitation from Cinderella to join her for breakfast to celebrate her birthday!!(DD8 b-day, not Cindy's)

congrats Dchef! My DH and I were both trying today and neither of us got in! So you are lucky to get the last table! We will be both trying tomorrow too. Wish us luck - DD loves this meal.

Can you really bypass the phone # part? That was not on there the last time I called for CRT's (last year). I'll have to "practice" some more!

mrsschlep: I did the same thing on my trip last year. I didn't tell my daughter I had PS's for CRT. When we woke up that morning, we got ready as usual. Then as we walked out the door, she noticed a bag hanging on the door of our hotel room. Inside was the invitation from Cindy herself inviting us to breakfast! My daughter was ecstatic! (This was the day after her 8th birthday.)

She never did figure out that I hung the bag on the door when she was in the bathroom!
