What's the best remedy for a hangover. Please, no smart a$$ comments. Just help and hugs.

I hope you feel better soon.

Did you have fun last night at least?

Thank you Toby'sfriend. I'm going to get advil right now. I have a full gallon jug of water by my side.

Anyone else kind and knowledgable like Toby'sfriend want to offer anything else up?

How do alcoholics do it? Wake up every morning feeling like this? I couldn't do it! waaaahhh! (icon of someone lying on the floor)

I did have fun but the entire day for me is wasted now.

Fellow hangover sufferers and well-wishers: Let's use this thread to provide support for one another.

An icee, i promise it works!!

They start drinking as soon as they get up to ease the pain your suffering now.

Sorry I haven't drank in over 25 years so I have nothing to add as far as the help.Advil and go back to sleep.

Water, or even better, Gatorade. Eat a banana... the potassium will help. And yes, Advil.

In my hangover days, I trusted carbs (like a bagel) and a banana, and washed it down with a Gatorade and some Advil. Works like a charm.

My friends swear by greasy food, in particular, an egg mcmuffin. I don't know how anyone with a hangover can eat food of any kind, especially greasy, but they all swear by it!
Good luck!

Thank you for all of these excellent ideas. I want to try them all. The icee sounds good but I'd have to go to 7-11 for that. I'll try a poscicle.

You guys are smarter than me -- most of the people on the board seems to have abstained.

Advil, lots of water and although the thought of a dry piece of toast turns your stomach, try it.
Hope you feel better soon. :grouphug:

Vitamin C is supposed to help a lot too. But more than anything water or Gatorade or even juice. You need to rehydrate. A hangover headache is actually caused by dehydration.

I've had a few wicked ones in the past and drinking a LOT of water will help. Your body has to get rid of all of the alcohol in it before you start to feel better.

On one of our trips I had a nasty hangover and a bartender gave me some club soda with bitters in it. Really helped me feel better.

It sounds horrible but exercise can really help you feel better by sweating out the remaining alcohol in your system.

Drink a lot of fruit juice as well as fruit juice helps to replenish your body.

Pickles are pickle juice help too because they are mineral rich

Sleep will help too

Good luck! I know how nasty they are! I have a little one today but not as bad as I've had in the past!

I think aspirin helps. Also some food with coffee or Coke, followed by water.:) I think the juice and gatorade suggestions are also good, but given the choice, I'd take the headache.;) ;)

alcohol dehydrates you so the thing that will help the most is drinking a lot of water. hope you feel better soon.

Lots of water and fluids, and potassium (try a banana or two). Have you ever heard of Chaser? It's an OTC remedy for hangovers.
