I got home from WDW Sunday night, and had a fantastic trip! It was my first time celebrating my birthday in WDW, and I had a blast. The Food and Wine Festival was a blast, and it really didn't get crowded until Friday night. This is the first time I really enjoyed the F&WF, so I was happy about that.

I'll start with the bad news. The AP Food & Wine pins got totally messed up, and Pin Central didn't receive the full shipment of pins. As a result, the pins that they had on 10/1 were completely sold out by noon on 10/2, so by the time I got there on 10/6, they were gone. I so badly wanted the AP pins, but there were none to be had. The rack pin is very cute, though. I did do a lot of pin shopping (more than I care to admit), but I was really disappointed by not having the F&WF pins.

Now, the good (surprising is a better word) news. Super Trader Darin and I have been good friends for quite some time, so we spent a lot of time together this weekend. Imagine my surprise when he picks me up at AKL on Friday with - eeek! - no pins!! He wanted to spend time with me since it was my birthday, so he didn't have a single pin with him. He wound up pin trading in Epcot using my pins!! Darin, if you're reading this, you're in so much trouble (you still owe me those three pins, BTW :) )!

Now, it's off to countdown until December. Hopefully the MVMCP pins won't turn out the same way as the F&WF did. Eeek!

We were REALLY upset to find out that there weren't any pins last weekend. And they are cute, too! :(

Does anyone have an ETA as to when they will get them back in?

Nope, no ETA as to the new shipment. Apparently, Epcot only got a partial shipment of the pin, hence the quick sell out. If I hear anything further, I'll keep you posted. :(

Too funny, Marcy! I was totally bummed too when I found that there were none left. I got a funny look from the CM at Pin Central also - must be a DIS thing. :)
