I'm here! Dolphin report....

We arrived on Friday to check in at the Dolphin. We got here at 2:30 and they told us the room would be ready at 3. We waited until 3:20 and they didn't have it finished so they moved us to 18-109 from the 19th floor. The lobby is really cute- like nowhere else we have been. I love the cabana paint in the hallways and our room door is too cute! We have a GREAT view of Epcot fireworks and MGM- saw the last part of Fantasmic directly in front of our room. I am a little disappointed in the room itself. I assume it hasn't been remodeled since the beds are low and hard! My hubby referred to them as EconoLodge beds!
We do like AKL better. The sink area is roomy the way it curves but it has foe marble and the grout is stained and peeling. I am glad I am getting the Teacher rate! We are going into MGM early this am and will let you know how the boat service is. This is only our 2nd deluxe room we have had- we are trying to make it to all the resorts- what a great goal. We are off to see Mickey!

Kind of off the subject, but have you been to Epcot yet, how's the Flower and Garden Show.

Hey, glad to see ya made it! Let me tell you, on 7th at Swan a couple weeks ago, everything was like brand new in our room. Our beds were the best! I'm talking major pillow top, felt like sleeping in feathers. I'm sorry your beds were ecno style. Our room was great, I just didn't like being so far away from the pool area. Have fun anyway!

I guess we didn't get a remodeled room but the view is great so I guess it makes up for the beds! We go to Epcot tomorrow so I will check back and let you know about it. We have gone for the last 2 years and it has never disappointed!
A few changes since we were here last- they are asking for room keys for EE- which I think is great. Saw Mickey's Philharmagic and enjoyed it- it was nice to have something updated for MK. I also noticed that they updated Its A Small World. We love EE or whatever it is called now- have used it everyday. I am really glad that it is still around. Also- the bus for Swan & Dolphin pick up & drop off first which is also great! That is it for now- have to go to sleep!

I have stayed at the dolphin about 4 times and have found they are very accomodating about rooms. If you are unhappy with the beds, let them know and they will happily change your room if possible. I am so picky!

It's a Small World has new dolls and props all around. It looks a lot like Small World in DLP.
When we checked in we were told we had everything we had requested- high floor- non smoking- updated room- Epcot view. That room wasn't ready so I guess they gave us one that met most of the requests so I would have hated to complain. Actually the beds were not uncomfortable at all. We slept very well, I just wanted to know what a heavenly bed felt like!!!
We have actually checked out of the Dolphin now and are at HRP which my employer is paying for. The rooms are great- 2 dbls, 1 loveseat sleeper, huge bathroom with a jacuzzi tub- 16th floor with a great view of MK. The girls like this hotel better except the pool isn't as nice but they haven't let that keep them out! We have not used the bus service or walked to DTD because of time. It is just easier to drive to the parks and DTD. The crowds are not bad and we haven't had much of a wait anywhere. We leave tomorrow as soon as my conference is finished. Another trip over so soon
