I'm trying to plan our AK EMH and VERY open to suggestions. Our party.... myself, Down Syndrome daughter 37, mother 80 (in a wheelchair the last trip so we can get a couple extra hours before she tires), 4yo granddaughter and 4 others. We usually get about 7 good park hours before I notice Grandma fading and start heading everyone home. This has definitely improved since the wheelchair. At this point we have a Tusker House ADR at 10:45 safari FP for 10:20 and FOP FP at 11:55 and Kali at 1:45
My plan... arrive early, get wheelchair and head to Naavi River ride,
pick up DAS fast pass for FOP
head to Kilimanjaro Safaris to hopefully be done by 9:30 (if this sounds doable I could switch the
10:20 safari FP for 3:00 Nemo)

Festival of Lion King at 10:00-10:30
Tusker House 10:45-->?????
Return to Pandora and ride FOP 11:55-->????
I then have Kali FP for 1:45
Grab DAS fastpasses for Everest on our way past.
Hopefully we can make the 3:00 Nemo
take the 4-5 riders back to Everest while the others wait
head back to the room for pool time and done for the day

I had gotten a Kilimanjaro FP for 10:20 with the intent of doing Lion King after breakfast but then the FOP fast passes opened up and made things a bit more confusingpixiedust:.

I have no idea how the DAS pass works. Do all of you have to go to get it or can one or two of you get that while the others are getting the wheelchair and then meet up at Navi? I think that might help your timing to the Safari which will make the rest of your day go as planned.

Anyone can go to the ride and get a return time. However, the owner of the pass must ride it when they all go back. If the pass owner doesn't ride, no one can get on using the DAS pass.

From what I can tell, it would be the OPs DD who would be the owner of the pass. I'm unsure if her mother is eligible, unless she has an issue unrelated to her mobility. Mobility issues, alone, are not enough to get a DAS. You can thank all the GAC abusers for that rule change.

I do have one concern with your FPs. You have a fastpass at 10:20 and a Tusker House ADR at 10:45. The safari takes, 20 minutes, I think, to get through. I don't know if you can make it to your breakfast (lunch? brunch?) on time.

And don't the Safaris sometime take longer than expected because they will wait if animals get in the road? That could make that attraction last longer than usual and put you even further behind for your ADR. You do have a little leeway on the ADR though, right? 15 minutes or so?

I was also wondering this but saw in OP's description that she thought she could be done safari by 9:30, so maybe a typo, w/ FP at 9:20?

Sounds like a good plan, if it works for you. We are a rope drop family and avoid scheduling fastpasses before 1p. We hit the headliners early before the parks get too crowed and then we have fastpasses in the afternoon when the wait times are at there longest.

She said if they can get through the safari early, they would change that 10:20 FP to a Nemo for the afternoon.

Where does "EMH" come into play?[/QUOTE)

My date is 10/23. Plan to arrive for EMH, go to the Navi' River and then try to get through Kilimanjaro Safari before 9:30.
Change the fast pass from safari to Nemo.

So I guess the question is... can I get through both the Navi' river and safari by 9:30 standby on an EMH day with a little slower moving group than some.
