You look just like your avatar, too! I took an actual photo of myself and "painted" over it using PhotoDeluxe. It's amazing what you can do at 1:00 am when you can't sleep and nothing is on TV!

The menu was soul food, most of which I hadn't ever tried (I can't believe I'm admitting that--they're going to make me turn in my black card ).

Soul food seems to be more Southern than black so don't feel bad. I've lived in NJ all my life and haven't had most of it either.

Thanks to everyone who said I look good in the picture. I keep looking at it thinking I look odd. We were positioned so that one side of my body sort of disappeared, causing my head to kind of float there. So, it looks like I have this enormous head.

It really was an awesome evening. I'm so glad I was able to go. I heard from another attendee that Blair Underwood was the headliner a couple of years ago. I would have loved to get a picture with him! Hubba Hubba!
