Well, becuase AK closes so early compared to the other parks we always plan to have a PS for Dinner at Epcot. But, we will probably want somthing earlier that day.

Our choices are a early lunch or a early breakfast. I'm thinking on skipping breakfast and trying one of the other counter service restaurants in the Animal Kingdom.

We have only eaten at the Rainforest Cafe and the Restaurantosaurus. We have never tried any of the others there. How is the Tusker House or the Flame Tree BBQ.

Thanks

I love the Flame Tree though I didn't care for the BBQ Beef. The BBQ Chicken sandwich is good as are the fries and cole slaw. Rest of the family liked the BBQ beef sandwich. The eating areas of the Flame Tree are awesomely beautiful.
Pizzafari was good too with a nice ceaser salad and the pizza was fine though not outstanding.
Haven't tries Tusker House.

We have eaten at Tusker House twice and enjoyed it. I love their roasted veggie sandwich. It's a good place for lighter fare and quick service.

I love Tusker House. They have a nice range of entrees. When I was there in October, my parents and I split three entrees so that we could try each of them. We had the turkey wrap, the rotisserie chicken and the chicken salad. Each was great!

We really love Tusker House. One of the better counter service at WDW. And pretty healthy (without being boring.) Highly recommended.

Everyone says great things about Flame Tree too-- next time I'll try it.

If you are going when the temps are hot you will likely want a counter service with indoor seating. Tusker House and Pizzafari are both comfortable. Food is good at both locations.
The murals at Pizzafari are super fun for families (kids especially) to look at. (Find an animal hidden in the mural.) Each room has a different themed mural.
Tusker House is actually going to provide you with some veggies if you're interested. If it's not too hot out you will enjoy some like African entertainment in the courtyard.

We have only eaten breakfast biscuits at Tusker House, but they were yummy. The chickens cooking looked really good. We have eaten at the Flame Tree the last two trips. We really like the ribs plate!

Another Vote for the Flame Tree BBQ.
I particularly love the BBQ Chicken Salad. YUM!!
And the seating behind the Flame Tree is very nice. It's wonderfully peaceful.

I don't think you can go wrong with either the Flame Tree or Tuskers.

Have a fun trip!

we had lunch at tusker house for the first time in November, and we really liked it! We had always eaten at Flame tree before, and just wanted to try something different. We really like flame tree too, although when we were there in February it didn't seem as good as we remembered.

We LOVED Flametree BBQ. I had the chicken sandwich and hubby had the ribs with beans and corn. He LOVED it. I have done Tusker for breakfast and lunch and it was ok. But I was impressed with Flametree.

Does TH still do the lunch "specials"? They serve an entre that is not on the menu. The last couple of times I've eaten there they had peanut encrusted chicken on a stick with veggies and something else. It's been a while since I've eaten there, though.

Another vote for Tusker House, everything we have tried so far has been great! If you are going to have lunch at AK check out the Meal Plus Certificates. You can purchase them at the entrance or at the participating restaurants. We did this in February and had our lunch at Tusker house and it was a good value.

The Quote:

We had lunch at Tusker House one rainy cold afternoon in December. We escaped inside to find a cute restaurant with yummy treats for all. I enjoyed the turkey wrap and a wonderful (and warm) soup. I say thumbs up :D

We have eaten at both Tusker house and Flame Tree twice. I think Flame Tree is better. I love the bbq chicken sandwich! DH tired the ribs last month and enjoyed them.

Flame tree BBQ is my favorite counter service restaurant anywhere. I LOVE the ribs, they are great! I always eat at least once per trip at Flame tree just for the ribs. I have even gone to AK just for lunch to have the ribs. I guess you can tell, I really like Flame tree's ribs! LOL!
