I forgot to mention; I got MICKEY MAIL yesterday!

Got my luggage tags for BW. I still had my Pop ones sitting on the table, so I need to pitch those so I don't accidentally send my luggage to the wrong place.

I have checked EVERY DAY and my FP+ selections are still there. And it still has my new, correct resort on the reservation. I think it might work smoothly for me!

WOOHOO!!! I love Mickey Mail! We won't get the fun luggage tags this time or any of the other things because we are simply booking a room on points with no flights and no tickets so I won't get that little packet.

However, my DS7 was SOOOO excited to get our magic band box and he has thought of a million ways to use it already!

What a controversy with your Cards! I just googled it and although I do understand lots of baseball, I didn't even know about that rule. My DH who is a sports nut about every sport says that on an obstruction call, you automatically get the next base. He also says that it maybe wouldn't have been obstruction except that the guy on the ground kept moving his legs and if he had just laid there still he would have been fine but it sorta looked like he was trying to prevent the runner from going forward. Anyways.....enough of his opinions about baseball and back to your Disney planning!

I'm so excited for you that you get to leave in 16 days!!!

Did you rent DVC points through a broker or directly from a DVC member? Just curious, you scored such a great DVC resort with not too much advance notice. If I go the DVC route, I'm looking at David's Vacation Club or DVC Request.

If you do ever stay at POP again, definitely check out AoA! Or stay there. I loved it when we stayed there last year, in a Finding Nemo suite. In fact, I considered starting my next vacation there in a Little Mermaid room - it's not off the table yet!

Only one time did I not have a contract, and that time I felt like the person's immense posting count plus references (plus the fact that I was only renting one night and the cost was negligible) made me willing to accept the lack of contract. I like to have a contract because it gives some security to both you and the person renting the points; I like to have everything in writing that I will actually have a reservation, and I like the person I'm renting from to have something in writing that I will take care of the room and not leave them with a big bill that they're responsible for!

That being said, I would NOT rule out David's if I couldn't find something that would work for me on these boards. You can usually get a lower cost on these boards, but with David's some of the hassle is taken out of the equation. I think it's just what you have a tolerance for.

I would love to see those Little Mermaid rooms! I really just wanted to walk over and see the Lion King section, but I think I'll survive missing it this year. I can always see it next year; my trip will be much longer and there will be more down time!

Last time I was at WDW solo, Obama was there speaking at MK (made it a nightmare when I switched my days to avoid him; crowds skyrocketed at MK on the day after, which was supposed to be light).

This time, his wife will be at YC speaking while I'm there! November peeps, take note!

What is it about me that makes his family want to follow me to WDW on my solo trips and go wherever I'm planning on being? MK, Epcot resorts...??

Thanks, that is very helpful! I did read a bit on the DVC Boards here and was surprised at how many people were offering points for the next 30-60 days, so maybe I'll try that next year before my trip.

I was surprised that you were able to transfer your reservation if you rented someon else's points, but I'm glad that it works that way and you can still use the MagicBand and FP+. Can't wait to hear all about your trip!

Well just beware - you may get points 30-60 days before your trip, but not where you want to stay, or HOW you want to stay (like, you might only be able to get a 1 bedroom, or a grand villa, instead of a studio).

I have really lucked out - I booked AKL a week before going in January, and ended up with some major pixie dust on this trip, but I definitely don't think everyone can be so lucky! Good good luck to you!

Ha, that WOULD be a super-random question to get asked out of the blue. That's MVMCP night, so as long as she's out of there by the time I'm trying to get back to BWV on the bus, I'm good. =)

It just strengthens my resolve to walk through Epcot to take the monorail to MK for MVMCP and not take the bus!

I had a dream last night that I checked into BWV, and they took me to the wrong kind of room. It was really, really tiny with bunkbeds, and I told them that wasn't the room I was supposed to get. They took me to another room with the word "Dark" on the door, and they went in for awhile. When they came out, they told me that they were sure this was my room and disappeared. I walked in, and it was also super tiny and very, very dark inside; it wasn't my room either! But it DID have a balcony - albeit pretty beat up and in need of repair but with a view of the canal.

Sooooo Day THREE:

My original plan was to open HS, go back to Pop to sleep, then head early to MK. I have a BOG lunch "FP" ... but I didn't write down the time or the reservation number, and now I can't retrieve it anywhere!! I think I might be SOL on BOG.

My current plan is to pretty much do the exact same thing - only now I'll probably go to BWV, hang out at the pool, then take a nap and head to MK. HS is supposed to have super low crowds today due to the fact that it closes at 4 (!!!!) so I want to take advantage of that, but really I just want to go ride ToT, TSMM, and see the Muppet show, so I'll have plenty of time to do whatever I want. I love the Muppet show! Always have! No FP+ in HS this morning.



Today is MVMCP day too! I really, REALLY need to buy my tickets. Here's my dilemma: I have 5 day park hopper passes from UT. They're currently linked to my MB. I have read many reports of people upgrading to an AP and losing all their FP! So I am trying to decide WHEN to upgrade my ticket to an AP.

That being said, I can get the PH discount on MVMCP tickets; it will be like, $4 cheaper to do this. But if I pay the extra $4, I can just hold out on getting my AP until Friday or Saturday to try and ensure my FP+ aren't deleted! What do you think?

Anyway, I'll be there by 4 for SURE and will get to see this:

I do have FP+ for this afternoon. I'm glad, because I have a feeling it will be crowded-ish until the party starts (and maybe even after)! I hope to get to see Teekathepony tonight if we can work it out!

I just ordered the carved turkey sandwich. Mmm, I love Disney turkey sandwiches!

Edited to add: [/I]Oddly, the name of the procedure was starred out! It is a procedure where they basically unhooked everything and rehooked everything back together (he lost his gallbladder in the process). Not sure why it was edited!

I was warned ahead of time not to get attached to ANY of the characters! I LOVE Dani, so hopefully she survives. There have been many a time where I've wanted to just chuck my Kindle across the room because I was so angry!

My poor Bills just cannot catch a break. But they are playing with a lot of heart and even though we're not doing great, it's been fun to watch.

He is definitely in my prayers!!!!!

I've been back from my friend's wedding for a bit now; everything was beautiful and it was very lovely. The bride was, of course, stunning. Also, the food was very good and unusual for a wedding - it was a panko-encrusted chicken breast that was just the right temperature, served with a twice baked potato and mixed veggies. We also had an open bar, so I was drinking Sam Adams Oktoberfests tonight. Very nice time!

I came home to my Cardinals being embroiled in controversy. I don't understand baseball rules enough to know exactly what's going on, but I'm sure in the next hour or so about 100 sports writers will be discussing it so I hope to have an opinion soon.

I'm still so stinkin' excited to stay at BWV; I just can't believe my luck. Even though I would have enjoyed Pop, I just can't fathom that my trip changed so much in such a short amount of time. I'm looking forward to it FAR too much. I can't wait to get a much, much needed break down at WDW!

Last night is the FIRST night in days I haven't dreamt about something going on with my room. I'm sure it's because this room is a first for me and I expect something to go wrong with it. I think I could pretty much walk in to a wall missing and still be cool with it at this point.

I also have a recurring dream where WDW is just a big fortress and you have to go to the right door to get into the right park.

I'm open for meeting! Maybe we should just say a time and try to meet somewhere, and if we all make it there at the same time, good, and if we don't, that's ok!
