Well everyone- much to my chagrin- I did not lose that 2 lbs. I needed to by my goal date of Saturday. But- I'm thinking it's ok- because I had a secondary goal date of July 4th- with everyone else! So- IT HAS TO COME OFF THIS WEEK!! ANd...... come H*!# or high water- IT"S GOING TO!

Thanks for the PD you sent last week! I fely good even if it didn't work for the weight loss! :p
 
Good luck on reaching your goal by 4th of July, with hard work and determination YOU CAN DO IT!!!! But if for some reason you don't, do not beat yourself up, even if you don't make goal by Friday, you may do it Saturday, Sunday or the next week, but it WILL happen.
 
Those 2lbs are pesky. I know you will do it by 7/4, tho. Sending a little more PD your way *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~.

You can do it! You are really determined! :) I know that by the 4th those 2 pounds will be gone (probably out of fear of what you'd do to them if they stuck around, ha ha!)

Keep at it! I just know you'll be dancing a jig come Friday!

Karen, I haven't lost any weight in weeks , it will happen when it happens, I consider myself lucky if I don't gain it back. I usually don't set dates for my goals, I may be setting myself up for a disappointment.
You will loose it , when the time is right, I just know it.

You are all so wonderful and encouraging- just when I'm feeling pretty lonely- you always come through. You're all good friends to me- and I am so thankful I have you all! You have made an otherwise very weary process one that has taken on the tone of a fun and exciting adventure! I know I would've quit by now if it wasn't for these boards. 3 months is the MAX I have ever stayed on a diet! ANd I have officially by passed that time now- I'm into ending my 4th month. I wish I could say that I've never wanted to quit- but that just wouldn't be true. But when I have wanted to quit, I've come to this board and been uplifted by everyone elses struggles and successes, and this is what has helped me to overcome those temporary obstacles- THANKS EVERYONE!
 
I sure wish you wouldn't get so hung up over two pounds. Just keep eating the right way and it will go away.

I'm sure you are determined and I know you are successful so I imagine you will reach your goal. Just don't get upset if the BF has other plans :)

If this was my last 2 lbs I would not be getting "hung up" on them. I still have a lot of weight to lose- at least 100 lbs. For me, not losing 2 lbs. is a big deal in the entire scheme of things. If I can't lose these 2 lbs, how will I ever lose 98 more? If I have an "It's only 2 lbs" attitude- I will lose my ability to focus on any weight loss. I say this because this is what has happened to me in the past. As I said before- my greatest success in losing weight has been 30 lbs./3 months. It did not last longer because I didn't focus on getting past my stalling point. I cannot ignore my weight anymore. I've ingored it for 19 years and I am paying for it now. I wish I could pass this off on the good old bloat fairy, but I don't see how I can. I take a large dose water pill for high blood pressure. So high that my Dr. wants to take me off it because she's afraid staying on it for a prolonged period of time will have bad effects elsewhere. In addition, there are other medical reasons for me to get this weight off. I'm afraid if I take a non-urgent attitude with this that I will just lose any motivation I have now. As it is, I am struggling on a daily basis, to stick to this plan. I feel as though I am barely hanging on to doing this. If I allow myself the pleasure of relaxing my attitude, I believe I will totally lose my ability to continue losing weight. To do this diet has not been particularly difficult for me. I am not battling my physical appetite anymore- right now I am going through more of a psychological battle. I am at a point (* NOT to be overly dramatic or anything :rolleyes: ) where I feel I am turning the corner on the food issues. It is here where I will determine if I allow this to beat me, or me to beat this! And I mean this for life. Not just for the time being. That is why I cannot let up. Do you understand? Losing this 2 lousy- measley little pounds means more to me then just losing 2 pounds. I suppose I could say that the dealine isn't important, but it is to me. I don't believe I have set unreasonable deadlines. I have been low carbing for almost 4 entire months now. And accordingly have lost somewhere between 15-18 lbs.- depending on the day. AT best that averages out to
1 pound/week. I am discouraged and on the verge of giving up when I think about that. I am trying to be open minded and patient, but right now, at this juncture, I am very vulnerable. Everything is crucial to me right now.
