I'm gonna' bust!

Because of the airlines changing fares in a nano-second, we were not able to get our 10/15/05 flight out of Portland that we wanted to without paying an extra $500! My travel agent then got on the horn to Delta and was able to get our fly/drive package down to within $250 of their original price.

Anywho...we are now leaving on 10/14! It's a late afternoon flight, which doesn't actually get into Orlando until 11:45pm, but I don't care! I'll be waking up the next morning in Disney! The thought of it makes me want to burst into song! The other cool part is that the other members of our family (my DM, DD, DSis, DBil, and 2 DN's) are also arriving late night from Bangor....15 minutes after us!! The 10 of us will now be able to check in together!

Thanks for listening to me ramble. We are having our first vacation planning party at my Mom's on Friday. She's doing a Disney themed buffet and special things for the kids....and my DH wonders where I get my Disney obsession from!!??

I am from the Portland area and are taking our first flight out of the Jetport since 1997 (all other trips have been from MHT or Bos) I am very excited to only have to leave at 6:30am for our 9am Delta flight !!! (my parents live in ETNA and work in Brewer !!) Michelle

I feel your pain. In May of last year we booked with Delta and got round trip for 2 of us for around 4 something. We checked back like a month before we left and the same flight was 400 something a piece..yikes...

We booked our flight for October last night and got it 4 something. Don't want to wait and see it jump...

Frustrating isn't it??? Part of me is still a bit miffed thinking that our travel agent (one we had to use...not by choice...because of a gift certificate my DH won) had acted sooner on my request we might have gotten the lower fare. I e-mailed her on a Monday with the info and she didn't get back to me until the following week because she was "working on trips for her April/May travelers".

In any case...we're going. Our airfare, van rental and SeaWorld passes are completely paid for! No further complaints from here!!

Hi Jodie....yeah, I can't wait to see what Mom has come up with. The only thing I know of is the Mickey shaped mac n' cheese for the kids!!
