I'm SO excited for this! I've been to Disney World MANY times, but I think that this time will be the most memorable... this is my first time going with my boyfriend! We will be together for almost a year and a half by the time of the trip (July 2010). He's not too excited about it now, especially since his parents are making him pay for his plane ticket and park ticket... but after going to WDW with my parents countless times, my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandmother a few times, and even after going with my band and choir, I'm really looking forward to sharing this with him.

After all, what could be better than going to the one place that makes you the happiest and going there with the one person who makes you the happiest?

Which brings me to this question: any ideas for WDW with your significant other??? Restaurants, rides, shows, etc...? Thanks

Last Aug I went with my DBF and I'm now planning our second trip. As for "special" things to do, I had made a reservation to take a carriage ride at POR (although we ended up not being able to do it), but I was really excited about it. We had dinner in CRT and got a great view overlooking Fantasyland, which was really nice too. If you're looking to splurge, why not have a nice dinner at Cali Grill (this is on my to do list for the upcoming trip). We also had a great evening just walking around AKL. I know you'll have fun! =)

How exciting! I had been to WDW many times and my DH had never been! We went together for the first time in 2006, after almost 3 years of dating. Now this summer will be our 6th trip together! Luckily for me, he fell in love with the place and now we are both obsessed!!

I think one of the things that really helped was that I had planned it out so thoroughly. I had an activity planned for each night, whether it was the fireworks, the luau at the Poly, Jellyrolls, PI (which was more exciting back then). If he's interested in planning, ask him what he'd like to do but if not, don't push! DH had no interest in watching planning videos or anything at first because it was all so foreign to him. On our second trip, we did the Segway tour in World Showcase and I've been pushing that tour on these boards ever since! It was so wonderful.

Hope that helped! Good luck!

Oh BTW, please join us on the Official July 2010 thread! We are having fun planning together!

Going with my BF in two weeks. We are only going to be in WDW for 3 days, but we're planning to go to Discovery Cove one day and eat at Artist's Point that night. The next day we're planning to drink our way around Epcot, then eat dinner at Kona Cafe (b/c it's my all time fave), and then watch the fireworks on the Poly beach (and before I get any slack, I'm a DVC member, so I have pool hopping privedges and can go sit on the beach). The next day we're having a couples massage at the Swan/Dolphin spa, laying by the pool, getting a late lunch at Paradiso 37 and then heading back to the airport.

In the past with another bf I have done Cali Grill, which was great! Shhh don't tell my current BF!

Aw, you're so lucky! My boyfriend is of the opinion that WDW is for kids and he's so stubborn about it :sad2: It kind of works out though, I guess, because I have an awesome little sister who's a crazy traveling buddy and I know she'll have no problem indulging my kid-like tendencies!

we went together with his parents in dec 07. it was lots of fun! his mom & his family have been several times and this will be, ummm, i guess his 7th & my 4th trip. it was actually his idea for us to go this time since they had so many great deals.

i tried to think/plan lots of special things for us to do but we're going to just go with the flow ... besides the reservations to restaurants, we're just going to enjoy the WDW magic!

Wow, those all sound great!

I made dinner reservations for the San Angle Inn for the day that we go to Epcot.... nice and romantic, but I think that's the day that my mom will accompany us to a park. Oh well.

I also made reservations for the Crystal Palace, which I know he'll love... he goes crazy for those buffet-style restaurants haha

Best wishes!
It brings my mind to first date with my darline.
