I'm jealous - I'm having concert withdrawals! I went to SIX concerts last year. This year, only three, and they were very low-key (Ringo Starr, James Taylor, and Eric Clapton).

Why only $9, that seems very low? And for you killers fans if you haven't figured it out yet, that new My Chemical Romance CD is phenomenal, not that they're real similar bands, but they kind of are, MCR is quite a bit heavier though. Have fun.

Killers have a throwback Bowie-esque sound. MCR has a new alt sound. I don't think they sound at all alike, but I can see how they would have a similar audience. The new MCR almost reminds me of Jared Leto's band in a way (can't think of their name and too lazy to look). I think their new sound is a bit of departure for them, and shows a lot of growth in their songwriting.

Just saw the killers at Jingle ball in NYC last friday....they were the best act there.......REALLYYY great live!!!

Wow, it was amazing! It was $9 b/c they had cancelled a show and then came back and everyone that didn't already have a ticket could get one for $9 or something. I'm not complaining. I actually wouldn't have even known about it if it wasn't for another Diser (dude, THANK YOU) b/c I live 3 hours from Atlanta.

Well anyway. I was really far away so this is as best as I could do with pictures.

See I thought the Killers had a bit of a Knack type sound. They had a retro 80's vibe, especially with the first album. The 2nd album, not so much.. but it is still there. I do hear a bit of Bowie as well= and I love Bowie. I do like both albums so I can't complain.

I'm not that fond of MCR. I try to listen to current stuff (I work at a high school sometimes) so I know what they are talking about. I don't mind MCR, but I like the Killers better.

I'm trying to decide if I like The Killers. I can't put my finger on it, but they remind me of someone/some band from the 80s. It will hit me one of these days.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but could someone explain their "When You Were Young" video to me? I don't get it.

I think the lead singer needs to ditch the mustache.

The Killers are incredible!! I liked their first album better...and this look the lead singer has with the mustache and all..i dont like that..Not so much!! He looked his best in the video for Mr Bright Side!!!
