I must go to KSC. I've already purchased my ticket to the Cape Canaveral: Then and Now tour. We spend a lot of time at JSC, so paying about $100 more for DH and the boys (6 and 4) to go to KSC also, just seems illogical. The boys are so young that I don't know it would really affect them, the way it will me. Is there anything close to KSC for my DH to take the boys to, for a few hours. Ryan is into baseball and Sean is into trains. I figure I'll be at KSC for about 5 hours, or so. Or, should I just leave them at the hotel for the day, without transportation. (We are staying off-site)

Check out www.goorlandocard.com. It is an All in One attraction pass that included the maximum access admission to KSC. Maybe you could spend the day together at KSC and they do something else in the evening too? You can do as many attractions that you want in the days that you buy. So, you could start out the day at KSC, drive over to DAYTONA USA in the afternoon (I know boys that age would love that) and maybe stop at the American Police Hall of Fame in the evening, or go play minigolf. The Trainland museum in Orlando, Wonderworks, Ripley's, and FunSpot are all on there, so there are alot of options on what you could do.
BTW, my son was 6 the first time we went to KSC and he loved it and totally "got" it.

I have no doubt that Ryan wouldn't love it, but being that we go to Johnson Space Center several times a year, I don't know that it would be "special". He's seen Saturn 5, Apollo, Gemini and Mercury capsules, etc. He just has not seen launch pads. He has spent the night at Space Center Houston, doing experiments and such. Sean would just want to run and I just don't know that I can justify $100.

DH doesn't care, one way or the other.

How about a fishing expidition at WDW, followed by lunch at ESPN, followed by time at DTD. All achieveable via WDW transportation.
