Ok, so some of you may have read my "Disney in a day TR" from my birthday back March. Obviously I've been dying to back for more than a day since then to have more time to experience the parks.

Well, for the last week or so another friend of mine has talked about how much she wants to go to DLRP. It took me all of about 5 seconds to volunteer to go with her. So, yesterday she booked her time off so we are definitely going!!!!

:rotfl::banana::dance3:

I'm so excited, it's only been about three months since I last visited and I'm on my way back! We are going over August bank holiday weekend (which I'm aware is going to be busy as hell, but she has only recently started accruing holiday in our office, so this means we get as much time as we can in the Parks) and we are most likely taking advantage of the current offer on the website.

Just trying to decide between the Santa Fe and Sequioa Lodge, since with the current offer they are roughly the same price. Once we nail that down then I can get booking! If anybody has any resturant, schedule etc recommendations let em know! :)

So, really, this thread is just here to vent my excitement!

Do u desperately need to be onsite? at august prices it may be significantly cheaper staying nearby and having APs for park tickets and savings on meals etc.

If there is hardly any price difference I would defo go for SL because then you will have the swimming pool too, which is open outside in good weather:goodvibes This can be a godsend on a hot summers day when the parks are really busy. Heading back to the hotel to swim and chill out for an hour or two, have a shower and back to the parks feeling refreshed. :-)

Not desperately, but circumstances mean I'm gonna have enough money (from the kind of situation where you don't spend it on something sensible!) to afford onsite, so I'm taking the chance while I have it. XD

That's what I'm leaning towards, just waiting to see if friend aggres! :)

If you have the option I would go for Sequoia lodge too because you don't have to find your own table for breakfast and it is a bit nearer to walk to the parks. :goodvibes

I agree! Im giving her the chance to look at everything though, since we're paying half each i dont want her to think Im taking over, which I could easily do with disney! :lol:

Stayed at SL last year for August bank holiday and loved it! Had one afternoon where it was hot enough to sit out at outdoor pool. Parks were busy but managebale with EMH and Fastpass. We were in Yellowstone Lodge which was perfect for walking to parks, access to lobby, shop and restaurant and swimming pool. Happy planning!!! :surfweb:

We will be there that weekend for our familymoon too - so excited!

Mick - great to hear it was manageable last year - what dates were you there?

Thanks! We have agreed on SL so exciting!! Will definitely remember the tip about Yellowstone though we are two adults with fully working limbs so I'm sure we'll manage ;)
