Ok I live in a university apartment that has free cable. In the fall they had Time Warner reps on campus and you could get a DVR for $14 a month or so. Well it's the end of the year, I'm moving, and I want to cancel the service.
I called Time Warner and the lady said I need to return it to whoever I got it from and that it will be prorated. Well no, I have paid through April 30th, so I do NOT want service after April 30th. I don't want to do prorated. Second I have no idea who this guy is -- I assumed he was a Time Warner rep.
So next I call housing to see if they know if these reps are going to be back on campus. I'm assuming that they can't just set up shop in the dorms without first getting approval. The lady at housing says I need to talk to my residence director. I'm not sure why he would know but housing wouldn't...they go to every dorm, so doesn't it make sense that they would contact the housing department NOT every individual residence director?
I just wish once in my life I could call somewhere and get a straight answer - no lipservice, no run around, just a simple answer.
